Modern monochrome meets classical French styling in this Parisian apartment to create a wholly enviable contemporary interiors look

Situated in beautiful Paris, this luxurious apartment is a breathtaking testament to French style and the design prowess of Ando Studio. Using 3D computer images to create the dream, Israel-based Ando Studio worked with the owner of this apartment on Saint Germain Boulevard from the initial sketches all the way to the final strokes of paint. The result is a beautiful home, retaining all the original French moulding, but reborn in modern, artful style.
Immediately striking, the colour scheme is crisp white and rich black monochrome with clean lines that showcase the beautiful bones of the apartment. This is paired with the soft, abstract curves of the lounge chairs and love seats, supplied by the very best designers Milan has to offer, which, as Oren Aziza of Ando Studio explains, ‘softens the pure classic look a bit’.
It’s fully kitted out with modern appliances, yet the history of French art lingers in the carefully assembled accessories such as the marble tables, contemporary conceptual nudes, and gilded mirrors. The four poster bed in one of the bedrooms is a perfect example of this timeless blend of then and now. Whereas the concept of the four-poster retains the spirit of French antiquity, the frame is a bold, modern square.
One way Aziza suggests to emulate this look is to incorporate modern furnishings and ‘accessories that would look like pieces of art presented in the space, like an art gallery’.
