Kelly Hoppen Celebrates #Mickey90 with Quirky Homeware Collection

Interiors icon Kelly Hoppen MBE has collaborated with Disney to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s 90th Anniversary with a unique collection of homewares

Kelly pays homage to nine decades of Disney’s Mickey Mouse with a number of designs featuring the world’s favourite mouse.

The mixture of bold, cartoon-like designs and subtle silhouettes, in both vivid colour and Kelly Hoppen’s signature neutral palette, includes something for every taste and budget, from bespoke rugs created by Mayfair-based Persian rug specialist, Essie, to murals and wallpaper prints with Graham & Brown, and a Mickey bedding collection designed for QVC.

‘Mickey Mouse is such an icon and means so much to so many people,’ said Kelly Hoppen MBE.

I wanted to put my own twist on Mickey and create design-led pieces – for both adults and children

‘I wanted to put my own twist on Mickey and create design-led pieces – for both adults and children – that would bring him to life inside the home, while blending seamlessly into the decor and offering it a quirky appeal.’

The Collections

A range of murals and wallpapers produced by Graham & Brown features four mural and four wallpaper designs, each in a range of colourways, bringing Mickey to a grown-up audience while still maintaining his youthful charm, whether jumping through a bold houndstooth print or pulling aside Kelly’s signature taupe runners. Available from September 2018.

Mayfair-based Persian carpet specialist Essie Sakhai of Essie Carpets has produced a range of bespoke rugs, designed by Kelly and handwoven using the finest materials. Starting from £2,500, each design is a real work of art and a true collectors item for any avid Disney fan. Available from October 2018.

The third and final collection, Kelly Hoppen for QVC, sees Mickey take over the bedroom, with a variety of bedspreads, sheets, pillowcases and cushions. Available from November 2018.
