Ferrari Furniture? The New Classic Cars Interiors Collection

Car design is an art form, so why not bring it indoors? Now you can, with a bespoke range of furniture inspired by classic cars

The Ferrari 250 GTO, Porsche 917, a 1950’s Bentley Continental… some classic cars are so beautiful it’s a shame they have to stay outside in the cold. But now you can bring them into the home, in the form of intricately designed new bespoke furniture by Adam Williams.

Furniture designer and sculptor Adam Williams, whose father was racing manager for Castrol Oil, working with the likes of Stirling Moss, Donald Campbell and Cobra racing car designer Carroll Shelby, has merged the worlds of motoring and interior design.

Inspired by iconic cars from the 60s and 70s, including Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Ford, each chair has been designed and hand made to highlight the car’s unique flow and spirit, from the aerodynamic bodywork to the sculptural air vents, capturing the spirit of an era where elegance in design was foremost in the car industry.

‘My general inspiration is not just the structural lines of the cars but the history and excitement surrounding them,’ says designer Adam Williams. ‘Back then it was a world filled with the glamour of film stars, racing drivers and classic beauty, you needed raw skill and an attraction to live on edge.

And his favourite classic car? ‘The GT40 (Daytona). My uncle owned an original and I always loved everything about it. It truly is a beautiful work of art.’

Designs commissioned and completed to date include the Cobra Daytona chair, the Ford GT40 and a 1950’s Bentley Continental chair. Chairs currently being designed are the Porsche 917 and Lamborghini Miura.
