BUY KATE BUSH’S FORMER ELTHAM HOME

Kate Bush’s former home in Eltham is on the market. The six-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion is set in approximately one acre of grounds, backing onto the historic Royal Blackheath Golf Club. The present owner has lived in the property for 10 years, and named it Wuthering Heights in homage to the singer. They’ve made extensive changes, landscaping the garden and installing a summer house and fish pond.

Kate Bush lived in the property on Court Road, Eltham SE9, valued at a guide price of £2,750,000-£3,050,000, for almost 20 years from 1985 until 2003. The property has vast living and entertaining spaces, and there is planning permission in place to add an additional 1,000sq ft wing onto the property comprising three bedrooms, three reception rooms, a gym and swimming pool, costing in the region of £300,000 and adding an estimated £750,000 to the property’s value.

‘Eltham is coming up fast,’ says James Ankers, of Kinleigh, Folkard & Hayward, the agency marketing the property. ‘The transport links have improved dramatically and we have seen price rises of between 18% and 20% in the past 12 months. Quite a few properties have been selling for around the £3 million mark.’

The property is on the market with Kinleigh, Folkard & Hayward, Lee, on 020 8857 9494
