Want to support a good cause while buying your Christmas tree? One Fine Tree has pledged that for every Christmas tree reservation made by you, The Resident readers, they will donate £5 to Great Ormond Street Hospital
One Fine Tree hopes to raise £10,000 for the charity. Several years ago, they decided that each year they would donate a percentage of their profits to charity, and while researching different organisations, one continuously stood out – Great Ormond Street Hospital.
GOSH is one of the world’s leading pediatric hospitals that receives a staggering 230,000 young patients every year. Take the Flintoft family, who’s young daughter Isobel was diagnosed with Pfeiffer Syndrome, a rare bone condition that has seen her spend over 60% of her life in the hospital. Their relationship became so close with the staff that one of Isobel’s nurses was asked to be her godmother.
But the Flintoft family is not alone. Each week around 1,000 parents are put up by the charity, but to keep it up they are tasked with raising over £100 million each year.
One Fine Tree operates throughout south west London, delivering the finest quality Christmas trees to hundreds of homes during the festive season. Their trees are hand selected from sustainable farms throughout the UK and Norway, and for every Christmas tree felled, another is planted in its place, ensuring that the endeavour is sustainable.
The trees are all naturally grown over their eight to nine-year harvest cycle, creating a bountiful habitat for birds and other wildlife. Each tree is individually graded before being felled so One Fine Tree delivers only the very best to their customers.
