4 TOP TIPS FOR CREATING A BESPOKE KITCHEN

Whether you prefer the traditional country style kitchen or desire something a little more contemporary, Tom Howley designers will work with you to ensure that no detail is overlooked and that your finished kitchen is everything you dreamed of and more.

Tom Howley offers a tailored design service taking projects from concept to final completion to the highest possible standard – clients can choose any kitchen in any finish – painted or a variety of hard woods.

Tom Howley’s top tips FOR CREATING A bespoke kitchen

  1. To create a truly sociable cooking environment, add seating to an island or peninsular unit even if it’s just two or three seats to create an area that children and friends will gravitate towards, meaning that you can prepare a dinner for friends and catch up over a glass of wine.
  2. Create multiple seating areas within the space – some on the island, dining table, even a small area for chairs or sofa. Creating different zones will make the space more flexible and will be somewhere you want to spend time in regardless of whether you are having breakfast at the coffee bar, sitting down for dinner at the table, watching TV or reading the weekend papers.
  3. If your kitchen is near your garden, or has a nice view, make sure the furniture layout makes the best of this by orienting towards the view. Your sink doesn’t always have to be positioned looking out to the garden, consider locating your dining area with the best view in the kitchen. Creating an indoor outdoor living space will mean that dinner parties can extend outside into the garden, with all the essentials to hand in the kitchen.
  4. When designing a kitchen with high storage demands, Tom Howley designers focus on the practical needs of the kitchen while also maintaining high standards and a stylish finish with bespoke concealed cupboard storage that is both stylish and practical.

Testimonial:
‘The whole experience was a pleasure from start to finish, everybody who sees the kitchen admires it. The workmen were the best we’ve ever had in the house, they worked quietly and considerately. Mike created a lovely design, he made the process painless, very willing but no hard-pressure sales.’ Mr and Mrs Clark, Surrey.
