Winter Wonderland Full of Real Christmas Trees to Launch in London

With London moving to Tier 2 this weekend, we need a little miracle to save the festive season… Fortunately, Miracle on Kingdom Street, a rooftop winter wonderland in Paddington, is set to launch soon with boozy cheese fondue, hot toddies and heaters!

Pergola Paddington, one of summer’s most popular alfresco rooftop destinations, is set for a seasonal transformation featuring a winter wonderland forest with 200 real Christmas trees and alpine lodge with log fires.

Set across two floors, the upper deck – which is outdoors, but covered – will take the shape of a winter forest against backdrop of snow-covered hills, while the lower level will become a Bavarian-style hall with eight cosy Moët & Chandon winter lodges with a private bar and cosy blankets.

A new heating system will keep the cold at bay, as will the drinks menu full of warming tipples like mulled wine, hot toddies, spiced cider and naughty hot chocolates.

Plus, the four pop-up restaurants will include a new Alpine concept dishing up raclette and boozy cheese fondue, as well as bratwurst and currywurst sausages, roasted chestnuts, mince pies, s’mores and a selection of Christmas burgers.

Opening on 12 November, Pergola Paddington’s Miracle on Kingdom Street has bookable lodges and table reservations available for up to six people, making it a great spot for Covid-secure get-togethers (Tier dependant, of course). Tables are socially distanced and there’s contactless ordering and one-way systems.

A line-up of special winter events – including Christmas gospel choir singalongs, winter brunches, Christmas movie screenings, wreath-making classes and a puppy party – is soon to be announced. Closer to Christmas, booked tables will receive festive party boxes full of props for merry making.

Open daily 12pm-10pm until February 2021.
