The team behind Stratford’s Roof East is opening a new riverside bar this summer with a glorious south-facing alfresco terrace by the Thames
The creators of Roof East, Stratford’s quirkiest rooftop hangout, is launching a brand new venue at Trinity Buoy Wharf. Trinity Riverside Bar will open its doors for the first time on 4 July 2020, offering an expansive alfresco terrace with deckchairs and tables overlooking the river Thames and the O2 Arena.
There will also be a large indoor lounge area, located in the Grade II listed Chainstore building, complete with comfy sofas, armchairs and summer tunes.
Trinity Buoy Wharf is an artsy enclave nestled between Royal Victoria Dock, Canning Town and Poplar, not far from Canary Wharf.
Quirky art installations, historic architecture, colourful Container City buildings – once home to Dave Myers from The Hairy Bikers – and London’s only Lighthouse will provide the backdrop for this cool new bar, while the unique riverside views will offer plenty of Instagram fodder.
To keep things nice and COVID-secure, Trinity Riverside Bar will be fully seated with social distancing in mind, drinks and food will be ordered via an app to minimise contact with staff, and there will be measures in place to ensure safe movement around the site.

There will be an extensive menu of drinks, with beers, spirits, wine, cocktails, prosecco, mocktails, softies and hot drinks on offer. As for the food, you’ll be able to choose from hearty burgers, hot dogs, wraps, nachos, flatbreads, salads and sweets like Belgian waffles and ice cream.
To get there, your best bet is to take the DLR to East India or Canning Town. Alternatively, walk from the Emirates Cable Car via the Lower Lea Crossing.
Trinity Riverside Bar will be open Thurs-Sun from 12pm-9pm from 4 July 2020.
