On 19 October 2016, Theo’s Simple Italian at Hotel Indigo London Kensington will launch its first children’s menu by acclaimed Chef Director Theo Randall. Specially created so families can enjoy a more stylish night out, the three course kid’s menu will make children feel ‘grown up’ when dining alongside their parents

Inspired by the growing demand for restaurants to offer children high quality, wholesome food, this menu will feature small plates to start, including crudités with olive oil, sourdough bread and ciabatta.

Big plates include penne al pomodoro (pasta with slow cooked tomatoes and basil); pan roasted sea bream with zucchini chips, tomato and cucumber salad; and roast chicken breast with sautéed potatoes served with broccoli. The decadent meal is brought to an end with vanilla gelato served with strawberries and raspberries. Junior diners can even enjoy an extra sweet treat by upgrading their drink to an ice cream milkshake.

‘Eating out has become so popular and I think children should experience this as early as possible,’ says Theo Randall. ‘As a casual Italian restaurant, we want to create an atmosphere and a menu that families can enjoy together – that’s what Italian cooking is all about.’

Upon arrival, families will be offered an activity pack will also be offered to all families to ensure the kids are entertained at the table in the light and bright neighbourhood restaurant. The pack will include a colour-in map of Italy, enabling curious young diners to learn a little while they eat.

The three course menu is priced at £8 per child including a drink. Available for children under the age of 12 years, Monday to Sunday.
