London’s first ever festival dedicated to the capital’s beloved tradition of brunch is headed for the Old Truman Brewery in September, and tickets are now on sale!
Set to be London’s biggest celebration of all things brunch, London Brunch Fest will host some of the capital’s biggest names in the weekend’s laziest, loveliest meal, including The Barge House (famous for their breakfasts in breads), Urban Pantry (runner-up in Time Out Love London Awards for the Most Loved Local Brunch Spot), and The Dayrooms Cafe (an Aussie-inspired cafe in Notting Hill & Holborn).
Each restaurant will be serving a special festival menu for the event, as well as one signature dish. Visitors will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite signature dish, and the winner will receive the coveted Dish of the Festival award.
As well as headline restaurants, there will be a festival marketplace packed full of exciting brands sampling and selling brunch and breakfast-related treats, such as maple bacon croissants from artisan bakery Pophams, and raw cookie dough from Naked Dough (stars of the BBC’s Million Pound Menu).
Hackney-based The Pickle House will take up residency for the weekend, serving up their renowned Bloody Marys with an extra dash of pickle power, while Real Kombucha’s pop-up bar will serve ‘fermentation at its finest’, brewed from the hand-picked loose leaf teas, and Origin Coffee will be providing the caffeine hit.
There will also be a range of events from panel discussions to interactive workshops, and with every ticket sold, a 22p donation will be made to the Magic Breakfast charity to fund a healthy breakfast for a child at school.
London Brunch Fest takes place from 1-2 September from 10am-1.30pm and 2pm-5.30pm. Tickets are £15 (entry to one session, festival tote bag and access to the main stage), or £28 for a Very Important Bruncher ticket (full day admission, complimentary Bloody Mary, queue jump for talks, tote bag and access to the main stage).
