Red Carnation Hotels, which has luxury properties across the world, including six in London, is launching a series of experiences created with the rule of six in mind to help family and friends reconnect this autumn and winter.
The first, a supper series in partnership with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), takes place at The Chesterfield Mayfair, a storied mansion townhouse once belonging to the Earl of Chesterfield, on 17 October.
The evening will combine a luxury hotel experience with exclusive access to the RPO, one of London’s most famous orchestras, with a global reputation for music-making of the highest quality. Supper with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra features a seven-course tasting menu, created by The Chesterfield’s Executive Head Chef Nathan Hindmarsh and served in the beautiful Butler’s Restaurant, while the RPO string quartet plays live.
Menu highlights include hand-dived Orkney scallops, truffled fillet of turbot, Japanese waygu or butter roasted cauliflower steak and Valrhona chocolate, served alongside wine from sister vineyard Bouchard Finlayson and Lanson Champagne. View the full menu here.
Hosted by Huw Davies, Deputy Managing Director of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the evening will also include a Q&A session with the musicians. For those who want to stay on following the event, The Chesterfield has 93 individually designed guest rooms and 14 luxurious suites, from the bold and exotic to the elegant and cosy.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Suppers will also take place on New Year’s Eve at The Rubens at the Palace and The Chesterfield Mayfair. To ensure the safety of all guests, tables will be appropriately distanced and are limited to two, four or six people only and one-way systems and hand sanitiser stations will be in place.
You can also book a private in-suite RPO supper at The Milestone Residences. Situated opposite Kensington Gardens, the spacious two and three bedroom apartments have private entrances and full hotel service – the most comfortable way to combine physical distancing with a luxury break in London.
Rates for The RPO Supper Series at The Chesterfield Mayfair start from £215pp (minimum booking of two). 6pm arrival for 6.30pm seating. Dress code: Semi-formal/Cocktail. To book see chesterfieldmayfair.com
