The boxes start from £40 for two people, come with compostable packaging, and are filled with the likes of spiced mixed nuts, sausage rolls, Parmesan shortbreads, a savoury tart, two types of salads, salted caramel tartlets and – the pièce de resistance – a bottle of French rosé or four beers. Contact-free delivery is available across London and NHS workers get a 10% discount.
5 Cutter & Squidge, Soho & Bank
Combine two of the Great British pastimes – afternoon tea and a picnic – with Cutter & Squidge’s afternoon tea with a kit. The Cutter & Squidge Afternoon Tea at Home kit offers a great range of products for an afternoon tea – scones, cakes, brownies, cream and jam are all included, along with loose-leaf tea (don’t forget your flask of hot water!). The only thing left to worry about is whether to put the jam or cream on his scones first (a matter of huuuge debate). Tea for two costs £29.90.
