The Parlour, the decadent ice cream experience at Fortnum and Mason on Piccadilly serves scoops, sundaes and ice cream floats, as well as a knickerbocker glory that’s been popular since 1955. You can even build your own sundae with up to three of your favourite scoops, adding your pick of sauces, toppings and sides. Delicious flavours include Coconut and Chocolate, Chocolate and Cashew, and Avocado and Lime. Artisan coffee, hot chocolate, open sandwiches, wine and champagne are also on offer.

2 Ladurée, Burlington Arcade
If any old ice cream just won’t cut it, then head to Ladurée at Burlington Arcade in Piccadilly. It’s famous for its exquisite French macarons, which are wonderful as they are, but come summer, they serve ice cream cups in flavours like rose, pistachio and caramel, all topped with one of the glorious little meringue-based discs. Alternatively, you can pick up a macaron ice cream sandwich, in either cocoa-caramel with fleur de sel or strawberry flavour.

3 Pierre Marcolini’s ‘Citrus Garden’ Pop Up, Marylebone
Innovative chocolatier Pierre Marcolini has launched a luxury ice cream pop-up for summer 2021. The customised ice cream experience offers a wide range of flavours, sauces and toppings in the surroundings of an Iberian garden. Choose an ice lolly flavour, such as dulche de leche, coconut, vanilla, dark chocolate or raspberry sorbet, which will be dipped in Pierre’s famous Maison dark, milk or white chocolate, and finished off with a crispy nut topping of cracked roasted hazelnuts, almonds or pistachios. There’s also a new collection of zesty summer delights including light amaretti biscuits and macarons from the new Citrus Garden collection.
