Dalloway Terrace in Bloomsbury, which greets each new season with a new, super Instagrammable installation, has embraced the gilded hues of autumn with a new shining floral installation to celebrate the golden hour.
The glistening, golden floral installation, created by London florists Wild at Heart, features an abundance of gold-coated leaves and shimmering brushed gold butterflies.
Evoking an enchanting autumnal afternoon spent beneath a glorious oak tree, the urban oasis is covered by a canopy of preserved autumnal oak and beech leaves, natural cork bark and golden silk leaves.
Described by Vogue as ‘one of the world’s most Instagrammable restaurants’, the venue had chalked up more than 10,500 Instagram posts with the hashtag #DallowayTerrace at the time of writing.
This season, Dalloway Terrace has partnered with Æcorn – the world’s first range of non-alcoholic aperitifs – to ensure guests make the most of autumn’s golden hour – that moment just before sunset when the sun lends a fiery hue to the skyline – with a menu of new aperitifs and food pairings.
Inspired by the European aperitif tradition and informed by 17th century English herbal remedies, the Æcorn collection of bold nonalcoholic drinks is made from 100% English grown Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier grapes, pressed early and blended with appetite-stimulating herbs, roots and bitter botanicals.
Try non-alcoholic aperitifs such as Nogroni (Seedlip Spice 94, Æcorn Bitter & Æcorn Aromatic – perfect with the Steak Tartare or Wild Mushroom Risotto) or Golden Hour (Æcorn Bitter, Clementine Juice, LE Soda – pair it with Paillard of Chicken).

Of course, alcoholic options are also available, including the Æcorn Elderflower Spritz (Æcorn Dry, Elderflower Cordial and English Sparkling Wine) and the Sweet But Sassy (Æcorn Dry, Three Citrus Shrub, non-alcoholic Violet Bitters, SASSY Le Cidre Rosé).
The new Afternoon Tea menu at Dalloway Terrace reflects the best that autumn has to offer, too. Created by Head Pastry Chef Chris Dodd – Afternoon Tea of the Year 2018 finalist – the menu is inspired by Æcorn’s three distinct aperitifs. Delights include Conkers on a String (Chestnut and Milk Chocolate Cream) with Æcorn Aromatic, and a Sage & Lemon Tartlette with Æcorn’s ‘Dry’ Liqueur.
Seasonal changes to the main menu include Black Fig Salad with San Daniele Ham, Gorgonzola, Piccante, Walnuts & Carta di Musica; Rack of Lamb with Charred Squash, Peas & Salsa Verde; and Hot Smoked Trout Salad with Horseradish & Soft Egg.
