Planning a Christmas dinner for friends, family or colleagues? Some of London’s top restaurant are offering festive menus with all the trimmings for stress-free Christmas dining

1 Bread Street Kitchen, St Paul’s
Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen in St Paul’s is serving a choice of three festive menus between 19 November and 26 December, starting from £55pp and rising to £75pp – all including Christmas crackers. The festive menus include main dishes like mushroom, truffle and ricotta tortelloni, red wine braised beef feather blade with mash and creamed wild mushrooms, traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings, and fillet of beef Wellington, and you can add champagne, canapes, mince pies and even a Gordon Ramsay book for additional fees. There are also standing events menus with canapes from £25pp or bowl foods from £40pp, and Bread Street Kitchen will be open on Christmas Day, offering a set menu of champagne, canapes, three courses and seasonal British cheeses for £140pp (kids up to 12 years old, £35pp). 2 Odette’s, Primrose Hill
Bryn Williams’ Primrose Hill restaurant, Odette’s, celebrated its 11th anniversary this year, so you know you’re in good hands for a festive gathering. Two three-course Christmas set menus are available for groups of six or more, priced at £45 and £60 and featuring dishes like roast bronze turkey with duck fat potatoes and pigs in blankets, sea bream with Jerusalem artichoke and wild mushrooms, and beef sirloin with truffle mash potato, slow cooked carrot and onion crumb. Desserts include poached mulled wine pear with cinnamon parfait and chocolate, and Odette’s signature Jaffa cake with clementine and orange curd. Available from 20 November until 23 December. Available from 19 November until 19 January 2020, including extra services on 16 and 22 December. There’s also a special Christmas Weekday Lunch menu for £25, featuring the likes of smoked salmon, traditional turkey and Christmas pudding with a twist. 3 The Lighterman, King’s Cross
From an intimate Christmas lunch with friends and family to an all out office do, The Lighterman can offer cocktails, canapés or a full-on feast. The First Floor Dining Room, with panoramic views of Regent’s Canal and Granary Square, can be hired out for up to 100 standing or 60 seated. The three-course Christmas Set Menu feature dishes such as Jackson & Rye Smoked Salmon with Pickled Salsify, Heritage Beetroot, Citrus Crème Fraîche & Toasted Rye; Roast Free-Range Norfolk Bronze Turkey Breast & Confit Leg with Pork Stuffing, Cranberry Compote & Roast Trimmings; and Seared Black Bream with Bubble & Squeak, Lemon & Dill Butter. For dessert there’s Christmas Pudding with Brandy Custard or Clementine & Dark Chocolate Brownie with Nutmeg Ice Cream. Vegans are catered for too with the likes of Roasted Harrier Butternut Squash with Chestnut, Crispy Kale & Winter Truffle or Jerusalem Artichoke & Wild Mushroom Tart with Roasted Chestnuts. Wright Brothers, the seafood and oyster specialists with venues in Soho, Spitalfields, Battersea Power Station and South Kensington – home to the restaurant’s first ever independent cocktail and oyster bar – is offering sit-down seafood feasts, festive drinks and canapé receptions for group get-togethers this Christmas. On offer at Battersea, Spitalfields and Soho will be set and sharing-style menus priced from £45-£65 showcasing the finest oysters, fish and seafood (meat, vegetarian and vegan options are available, as well as wine pairing suggestions on request). Dishes include the likes of scallop gratin with nori crumb, crab, shrimp & avocado tian, fillet of Wixamtree beef carpaccio with parmesan crisps & white truffle oil to start, followed by mains of herb crusted fillet of halibut with crushed potatoes & sea vegetables, roasted fillet of Bannockburn venison with haggis, neeps & sour cherry sauce, luxury fish pie with lobster, and truffled mushroom gnocchi. South Kensington’s canape menu will feature a selection of festive bites, perfect for standing celebrations, such as potted lobster on toast, pork and crab scotch egg, halibut ceviche, turbot goujons, wild mushroom arancini, and blow-torched Atlantic prawn & mozzarella toast.

5 Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington
Royal Garden Hotel is a five-star hotel in Kensington with 10 private event suites for up to 430 guests, as well as two restaurants and three bars, all offering award-winning cuisine and five-star service. A Christmas party dining package at Park Terrace restaurant, available from 1-24 December, can cater for up to 20 guests, starting from £50pp for lunch or £60pp for dinner. You’ll get a glass of champagne on arrival, a three-course festive menu, half a bottle of wine per person, tea or coffee, Christmas crackers and Christmas novelty boxes. You can upgrade to a private dining package for up to 40 people with the addition of a Chef’s selection of canapes and exclusive use of the private dining room for £72.50pp. The also offer a Christmas Day lunch menu at Park Terrace for £125pp, and a Christmas Day lunch and dinner menu at 10th-floor Chinese restaurant Min Jiang from £95pp.

6 Bob Bob Cité, Leadenhall Building
Bob Bob Cité is celebrating its first Christmas with a Methuselah of Champagne – has 2019 been as good as a £10,950 La Tache Grand Cru, Domaine de la Romanee-Conti 2000? – and private dining salons that are perfect for festive soirées. The three salons seat from 16-18 guests and offer more than 200 wines and champagnes in large formats up to the Methuselah (also known as the Imperiale). Guests in the private dining salons are not limited to a set menu and may order from chef Eric Chavot’s full à la carte menu of French brasserie dishes, including favourites such as Siberian Sturgeon Caviar and the renowned Boeuf En Croute, for an alternative take on a traditional Christmas meal. There is no room hire charge for the private dining salons and minimum spend requirements have been kept comparatively low, at £1,500 for lunch and £1,800 for dinner, plus service charge.

7 Percy & Founders, Fitzrovia
Percy & Founders in Fitzrovia is offering a Christmas set menu priced £55pp. Larger groups can take over the Dining Room, which features the original stone doorway of the Grade II* listed Fitzrovia Chapel, while smaller groups can take the long marble Kitchen Tables, and those looking for a more private affair can opt for Percy’s Den, a private dining room with pull-out drinks trolley. The three-course set menu offer dishes like Mulled Wine Cured Jackson & Rye Salmon with Lemon, Caperberries & Crisp; Roast Free-Range Turkey Breast & Confit Leg with Cranberry Compote, Pork Stuffing & Roast Trimmings; Seared Scottish Fallow Venison Loin with Fondant Potato, Creamed Brussels Sprouts & Blackberry Jus; and La Fromagerie British Cheese Selection with Crackers & Quince Jelly or Christmas Pudding with Brandy Custard. Vegetarians and vegans are catered for too with the likes of Roasted Chestnut & Celeriac Soup with Truffle Cream and Rainbow Beetroot Salad with Heritage Carrot, Chicory, Walnuts, Grapefruit Dressing & Toasted Seeds. Available from Thursday 21 November to Friday 20 December. There’s also a Christmas Day menu priced £85pp with a glass of champagne on arrival, and a New Year’s Eve menu.

8 Fiume, Battersea Power Station
Chef Francesco Mazzei’s Battersea restaurant is serving an Italian-style three-course feast overlooking the river Thames from £30pp. Starters include meatballs with ‘nduja, burrata and polenta and charred mackerel with salsa verde, while mains include Welsh lamb ragu and aubergine parmigiana. For dessert, opt for panettone tiramisu, ice cream, tronchetto di natale or magia e bevi. You can add a variety of optional extra sides, cheeses, prosecco and Christmas crackers for an additional charge. The restaurant is also open on Christmas Day with a £65pp set menu and this year is offering a New Year’s Eve menu too. 9 The Grand Duchess, Paddington 
The Grand Duchess is a permanently moored floating restaurant offering a menu of premium seafood with a cheeky nod to British classics. The festive feasting menu, launching 1 December and available for lunch or dinner, has been created especially for the barge’s private banqueting table, The Captains Table, which seats a maximum of 10 people. For £60 a head, the Christmas menu has options including Dorset Estuary oysters, fish ‘n’ chips, Lambton & Jackson smoked salmon, smoked mackerel pâté, dressed Devon crab and ham hock & octopus terrine, as well as a choice of whole plaice or rolled venison loin for the main course, served with pigs in blankets, prune & cranberry stuffing, duck fat roast potatoes and orange glazed carrots & Brussel sprouts. For dessert, there’s Dark Chocolate & Orange Tart w/ Mince Pie Ice Cream, or a whole Pomona baked Tunworth cheese (£25 supplement required). The Grand Duchess will be serving a seasonal à la carte menu in the 40-capacity restaurant, which will vary daily based on the availability of ingredients and will contain dishes reflective of The Captains Table feasting menu.

10 Maggie Jones’s, Kensington
British restaurant Maggie Jones’s, which is named after Princess Margaret, who used to regularly book there under the alias Maggie Jones, is a great spot to celebrate Christmas. The restaurant is offering a special Christmas lunch menu throughout the month of December (until Tuesday 24 December). The three-course festive lunch menu includes starters such as onion soup, prawn cocktail and avocado with crab, and hearty mains like roast pork belly with apple sauce, traditional roast turkey, Maggie’s creamed fish pie, Scotch sirloin steak and Maggie’s vegetable stew. Desserts include mince pies served with custard, bread & butter pudding, and Stilton with celery. Priced £37.50pp, it will be available Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 2pm. Maggie Jones’s is also offering a New Year’s Eve menu priced £50pp for three courses. Closed on 25 & 26 December.

11 London Shell Co, Paddington
Take your Christmas celebrations to the high seas – or at least Regent’s Canal – with the London Shell Co’s cruising lunches and dinners. Catering to just 30 diners at a time, you’ll climb aboard and enjoy a winter warming glass of Somerset Pomona before setting off on a two-and-a-half-hour cruise to Camden Lock and back while indulging in a five-course festive feast. The menu focuses on seasonal produce and seafood, featuring dishes such as Angel Hair Fries, Dressed Dorset Estuary Oyster, Lampton & Jackson Smoked Salmon, Brown Butter Poached Sole, Cornish Cod with roast potatoes, orange glazed carrots and sprouts, and a dessert of either baked custard with boozy prunes and shortbread or preserved clementine with pomegranate and pistachio ice cream. Priced £50pp with the option to add cheese and fruitcake for £7pp. Available from 1 December.

12 La Poule au Pot, Belgravia
Belgravia-based French restaurant La Poule au Pot is offering a three-course Christmas menu for £42pp. Served throughout December (until Tuesday 24 December), the menu includes a variety of French delicacies, with starters such as onion tart, smoked salmon roulade stuffed with crab and venison pâté, and seafood mains of fillet of seabass with spinach, skate with black butter, fillet of sea bream with white wine and fennel, or meat dishes such as roasted guinea fowl, beef bourguignon and chicken supreme. Desserts include crème brûlée, chocolate mousse or la tarte tatin. The festive menu is available Monday to Friday from 12pm to 6pm. There’s also a New Year’s Eve menu for £70 for three courses.

13 The English Grill at The Rubens at The Palace, Westminster
The English Grill at The Rubens at The Palace is open on Christmas Day serving up a festive feast for either lunch or dinner. Sittings take place between 1pm and 7pm, with bookings available in half an hour intervals. The five course menu – six, if you count the mince pies and coffee – features a bark pumpkin soup with oxtail arancini and roasted chestnut pesto as pre-starter, followed by starters such as Scottish beef carpaccio or Cornish crab cakes, followed by an intermediate course of champagne sorbet. For the main course, you can choose from a traditional Black Leg turkey with all the trimmings, herb crusted loin of English lamb with dauphinoise potato, shallot and ale purée, butternut squash and rosemary lamb jus, and wild mushroom tagliatelle with Cornish gouda, sage, pine nuts and winter truffles. Dessert options include traditional Christmas pudding, flambéed at your table, with brandy custard, baked pear and apple strudel with rum and raisin ice cream or a selection of British cheese. 14 Radici, Islington
Radici, Chef Francesco Mazzei’s Islington trattoria, is offering three Christmas menu options, starting from £27pp for three courses and rising to £50 for four courses, starting with a Chef’s selection of canapes. Main dish choices range from roast turkey breast to lamb shanks osso buco and polenta, home cured baccala with tomato guazzetto and slow cooked veal with truffle and polenta. Tailor your menu with optional extra sides, cheeses, prosecco and Christmas crackers for an additional charge. Christmas Day set menus are also available, priced from £65pp (vegetarian menu £55pp), as well as a New Years Eve menu (vegetarian option available).

15 The Montague on the Gardens, Bloomsbury
Whether you are planning an intimate Christmas lunch or an elaborate all out Christmas Party, The Montague on the Gardens has a package for you. Book an area at the Blue Door Bistro Restaurant, or go for the Great Russell Suite for up to 100-seated guests. There’s also the cosy Ski Lodge, where you can enjoy The Montague Christmas Lunch Experience. For £105pp, this includes exclusive use of the Ski Lodge, a welcome glass of mulled wine or spiced cider on arrival, a 10-item festive finger buffet, unlimited hotel selection of red and white wine, bottled beer and soft drinks for three hours, and a DJ and disco. 16 The Curry Room at The Rubens at The Palace, Westminster
Opt for a slightly different approach to Christmas dinner at the beautifully decorated Curry Room at The Rubens at The Palace. The restaurant celebrates authentic flavours made with the finest ingredients and exclusively imported spices from India, and its open on Christmas Day. The three-course menu, served from 3pm till 9.30pm, starts with a choice of three starters – a lazeez aloo chaat (crispy potato salad), kebab khazana (trio of chicken tikka, lamb seekh and masala prawns) or kastoori paneer (fenugreek flavoured paneer tikka) – followed by a cleansing champagne sorbet. For the mains, you can choose from the likes of Delhi-wala chicken, lamb kofta curry, Samundar Ka Raja (lobster simmered with South Indian spices), and pindi chole (chickpea masala). 17 Cannizaro House by Hotel du Vin, Wimbledon
Hotel du Vin has created a Festive Menu full of classic favourites such as starters of salmon gravadlax or goat’s cheer, pear and pecan salad, and mains of succulent roasted free-range turkey ballotine, herb crusted cod, or daube of beef Provençale. Desserts include Christmas pudding dripping with brandy sauce, chocolate and clementine yule log with coconut ice cream, or raspberry and elderflower trifle. You’ll also get a selection of artisan cheese, crackers, mince pies and tea or coffee. The three-course menu is available for lunch and dinner from 27 November until 24 December priced from £31.95pp (Sun-Weds) to £39.95pp (Thurs-Sat). Add a celebration drinks package from £20, including a welcome glass of fizz, half a bottle of mineral water and half a bottle of Hotel du Vin Selection wine per person. Private dining rooms are also available.

18 The London Secret Garden, South Kensington
The London Secret Garden is a winter garden in South Kensington offering igloo dining with cosy faux furs, a winter warming food and cocktail menu, and a festive afternoon tea with mulled wine and pigs in blankets. The unique space, by a beautiful church where poet T. S. Eliot was Warden for 20 years, has five igloos, each named after an iconic singer from recent times (Bowie and Freddie Mercury are among the honoured), and a memorial garden area for the victims of the 2017 Grenfell tragedy. Choose from one of two Asian-themed pod tasting menus, a five-course menu priced £45pp and a six course menu priced £68pp. Both feature starters like marinated chicken skewers and salt and pepper squid, as well as a selection of mini cakes and Dragonwell green tea, but the main courses differ. Plus, the six course menu has that additional course of crispy aromatic duck with pancakes and hoisin sauce.

19 Swingers, City & West End
Swingers West End off Oxford Circus and Swingers City by the Gherkin both offer crazy golf, street food, cocktails, private hire spaces and DJs – all the ingredients for a great Christmas party! Both venues offer seasonal food and drink menus, with the likes of confit duck tacos with plum mole and spicy roast lamb tacos from new wave taqueria and street food superstars Breddos, the limited-edition Provolone Ranger burger from Patty & Bun, the pepperoni and chilli-packed Hot Hungarian pizza from Made Of Dough, and a chocolate orange gelato from Hackney Gelato. 20 The Chesterfield, Mayfair
The Chesterfield in Mayfair is offering festive celebration packages with a three-course seated Christmas meal for groups of 10 people or more. There’s a choice of three menus – the £95pp Snowflake menu, the £110pp Mistletoe Menu, and the £125pp Winter Wonderland Menu. The number of courses and options goes up with each price point, but all feature the option of a Free Range Bronze Black Leg turkey with apricot and pistachio stuffing, pigs in blankets, goose fat thyme roasties, and a homemade Chesterfield Christmas pudding with frosted sugar redcurrants and brandy sauce. Also included in each package is private use of one of the function rooms, a half-hour sparkling wine reception on arrival, half a bottle of house wine, tea, coffee and homemade mince pies and Christmas crackers (click here to book). The Milestone Hotel in Kensington has plenty of options for the festive party season, including private dining throughout party season, Christmas Eve dining, and a Christmas Day menu. bbar, the South African restaurant and cocktail bar located opposite the Royal Mews behind Buckingham Palace, offers a refreshing take on the festive menu for party season. For up to eight guests, you can choose from the full à la carte menu or party menu, for 9-20 guests you can choose from a selection of three starters, mains and desserts, or the full à la carte menu, and for 21 guests or more, you’ll need to pre-order a starter, main course and dessert each. The Christmas menu features the likes of tomato burrata on sourdough toast, and mini Boerewors sausage roll with spiced apple chutney to start, a Jumping Jack burger with jackfruit, carrot, red cabbage and apple slaw, free-range Norfolk turkey with fruit stuffing and roasted winter vegetables for mains, and cinnamon churros with Grand Marnier chocolate sauce or lemon tart with coconut sorbet for dessert. 23 SUSHISAMBA’s SAMBAZONIA Christmas Menu, the City & Covent Garden
SUSHISAMBA Chefs John Um and Andreas Bollanos are elevating holiday traditions with a thoughtfully curated menu inspired by their recent visit to communities in the Peruvian Amazon. The menu shines a light on the beauty and fragility of the Amazon – The Lungs of the Planet’ – and how critical our action is to save it. Each creation reflects memories of their travels, from scouring the colorful markets of Lima and Satipo to fishing in the Ene River and making sushi with the Asháninka community. Dishes include the MISTURITA, inspired by street food in Lima (pork belly, gyoza crisp, aji panca, radish, avocado purée, celeriac, nastortium), THE FORAGE, inspired by ceviche and celebrating the potatoes, of which there are over 3,500 varieties in the Andes (lulo leche de tigre caliente, ollucos, purple potato, jerusalem artichoke, huancaina, papa criolla) and ASHÁNINKA MAKI, sushi rolls that represent the vibrant greens of the Amazon rainforest (miso cured tuna, mustard leaf, asparagus, mango, avocado, yuca crisp, wasabi jalapeño). P.F. Chang’s Asian Table is offering a selection of Christmas menus with a pan-Asian twist. Fusing the bold flavours of Japanese, Chinese and Korean cuisine, the menus combine signature favourites with a selection of seasonal specials, including starters of handmade lobster and shrimp spring rolls, and Gua Bao Buns filled with pulled beef short rib and served with pickled cabbage, and mains like a heaped bowl of rich Mongolian beef or grilled lemongrass lamb chops marinated for 24 hours in soy, lemongrass and sesame oil. For the sweet lovers, P.F.
