London in the Sky, the alfresco airborne dining experience, returns to Greenwich Peninsula this summer for a post-lockdown series of unique dining experiences

London in the Sky – part of the dinnerinthesky.com concept that serves up specially curated menus, from breakfast, through lunch, prosecco and cake, dinner and cocktails at 100ft-high Sky Tables – is back and booking now for summer 2021.
With alfresco dining set to be hotter than ever this year (thanks to Covid), this one is set to sell out faster than ever. Things will be kicking off a little later in the year, however, with the prime minister’s urge for a ‘cautious’ reopening meaning London in the Sky won’t launch until 1 July this year, rather than May as originally planned.
The first flight will take to the skies by the O2 Arena on Greenwich Peninsula at lunchtime on 1 July 2021, and tickets are currently reduced from £159 to £139 per person. In fact, book now and you can bag a bargain with £10 to £30 off flights on certain dates, including the first two days of July.
Seated at one of London in the Sky’s 22-seat tables, dangling from a huge crane, you can enjoy a range of specially curated menus on one of nine flights a day at weekends (six on week days), with sittings for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, cocktails and dinner.

The highly-acclaimed Sunday Sessions – all-day parties with DJs, live performers and cocktails in the gin garden before and after flights – will return too, but it’s unclear at this stage whether the usual calendar of themed events and one-off flights will pop up throughout the season (keep an eye on Instagram, or sign up for the weekly newsletter, to be the first in the know).
All menus will be prepared and served in front of guests at the Sky Tables – with social distancing likely meaning that all 22 seats won’t be filled – alongside drinks created by top mixologists.
Now in its 11th year, London in the Sky has visited some of London’s most recognisable locations, from the South Bank and Tower Bridge to the prestigious Chelsea College of Arts.
Booking from 1 July to 26 September 2021 with tickets from £89. To book see londoninthesky.co.uk
