London Gets a New Bottomless Seafood Brunch with Oyster Bar

Step away from the poached eggs and avocado, your bloody Mary shall now be accompanied by oysters, fish burgers and seafood platters as London’s ultimate seafood bottomless brunch arrives in the City

Brunch off the boat is London’s ultimate seafood brunch. Fish Market at New Street Warehouse launched the new seafood brunch on Saturday 2 February and it’s a revelation.

As well as decadent seafood platters, trout roe eggs ‘n’ soldiers, fish burgers and prawn and crab rolls, you’ll find an oyster and bloody Mary station, a crumpet menu and bottomless Moët and Chandon.

Formalities begin at the oyster and bloody Mary station, where you can dress oysters with toppings such as bacon, pomegranate and pickled ginger while sipping on the obligatory bloody Mary.

For starters, it’s got to be the dippy egg, trout roe and sourdough soldiers, right? Or perhaps the smoked Peterhead kippers with seaweed butter and sourdough toast. And then there’s the crumpet royale menu, complete with hollandaise and poached Clarence Court eggs as well as your choice of prawn, smoked salmon or crab topping. How on earth to choose?

Mains include a fish burger stacked with smoked haddock fish cake, soft shell crab, avocado, fried egg with chips and anchovy mayo; prawn and soft shell crab rolls; Shetland mussels mariniere with chips; and a sharing seafood platter with dressed crab, Jersey rock oysters, prawns, mussels, cockles, tuna tartar and scallop ceviche.

Those of a sweet tooth might also fancy dessert. How about a lemon posset with ginger shortbread or melting chocolate pudding with hazelnut biscuit and calvados ice cream?

A short stroll from Liverpool Street, New Street Warehouse is an historic warehouse built by the East India Company in 1771 to house spices, tobacco, port and exotic goods.

Brunch off the boat is served on Saturdays for £35 for two courses and bottomless bubbles (£40 for three courses), or £70 for two courses with bottomless Moët and Chandon (£75 for three courses).
