Islington’s Radici Launches Ultimate Pizza Fest

Guaranteed to beat Pizza Hut’s unlimited lunch buffet, Islington’s Radici is launching a weekly Giro Pizza Club. This is your opportunity to try out as many slices of Francesco Mazzei’s moorish pizza toppings as you wish, or could possibly fit in…

They say there is no such thing as too much pizza, so here’s your chance to test the theory out.

Chef-patron Francesco Mazzei (also chef patron at Mayfair’s fine-dine Sartoria, and Fiume in Battersea) is bringing the Italian tradition of Giro Pizza to his Italian trattoria in Islington.

Giro Pizza is the common pastime of heading to the local pizzeria with friends and enjoying rounds of freshly-made pizza.

It’s also a chance to try out a range of toppings, instead of being lumped with an entire margherita to digest.

At Radici, diners can enjoy as many slices of pizza as they like from a menu of classics such as margherita and tropeana (tuna and red onions), as well as the newly created la troppo forte (blue cheese, nduja and honey).

Pair your pizza up with one of the cocktail on the short but considered drinks list such as a negroni, Aperol spritz, or a Il Piccante – Absolut Vodka Citron, elderflower cordial, honey, cranberry juice and fresh chili.

Giro Pizza Club happens every Tuesday from 5pm, from November 9 for a set price of £15.

Address: 30 Almeida Street, N1 1AD
