InterContinental London – The O2 has launched a floral cocktail menu to celebrate the arrival of Farmopolis, a floating garden for Chelsea Flower Show’s homeless plants and flowers
The Great Plant Rescue at Farmopolis has adopted all the left over flowers and plants displayed at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show to create a floating garden oasis at the Jetty, just off Greenwich Peninsula.
To support this innovative scheme, the recently launched InterContinental London – The O2 has created a summer cocktail menu inspired by the floral display and the exotic ingredients found in the gardens.
Served in the hotel’s Clipper Bar, with spectacular views over the River Thames, the cocktails include The Orquid, with BLOOM gin, raspberry puree, lemon juice, pineapple juice and two pretty edible flowers, the Orange Dahlia (Sipsmith summer cup, fraitsette bois and orange juice topped up with dry Champagne) and the Blue Hyacinth (vodka, blue curaçao, violette liquor, apple juice and Mediterranean tonic).
It’s just a short walk between the two venues, so call in for a cocktail on your way to the Farmopolis Garden, or perhaps make the Clipper Bar your port of call for a night cap en route home. Available from 30 July 2016.
