3 Allens of Mayfair

As London’s oldest butchers shop, Allens of Mayfair knows a thing or two about quality meat. Everything sold at the shop is completely traceable to its origin; for example, Allens Online scotch beef is bred specifically for them in the Scottish Highlands. They also offer a Butchery Classes, which topped GQ’s, ‘Top 100 Things to do in the World,’ in 2009.

7 Wyndam House, Chelsea

After working for 20 years in the poultry business, Lee and Lin Mullet decided to venture into the world of butchery. Before owning Wyndham House, the two produced chickens in Norfolk to then sell at local farmers markets, and eventually had their own stall at Borough Market. Lin and Lee recognized how conscious people were in the 90s about what they were feeding themselves, and so Wyndham House opened to provide the community with the values and their own extensive knowledge of the value of meat.
