London restaurant Jackson + Rye is bringing a slice of American diner style to Richmond, alongside s a seriously delicious array of US-inspired food

Café-cum-brasserie Jackson + Rye has opened its latest site on Richmond’s picturesque riverside. On the prime site in Heron Square overlooking the Thames, the American speakeasy themed café and bar is open all week for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and everything in between. Classics include truffled mac n’ cheese, toasted Reuben sandwich, burgers, fried chicken as well as salads, steaks and grilled lobster, crab cakes and meatballs.

There’s a good cocktail list as well as an impressive array of whiskeys, so you can accompany your New York striploin steak (recommended) with a warming tipple. Main course portions are – typically – on the large side, so make sure you arrive with a big appetite so you can fully appreciate the likes of buttermilk fried chicken or the  impressive-looking Jackson + Rye burger.
