With the new Peter Rabbit film hitting UK cinema screens this Friday, it’s only natural that we all go a little crazy for Beatrix Potter’s famous bunny. And how better to stay on point on Instagram than with London’s latest quirky afternoon tea?
Flemings Mayfair has launched a Peter Rabbit-themed afternoon tea in celebration of the eagerly anticipated film, which features an all-star cast including James Corden, Sia, Margot Robbie, Daisy Ridley, Elizabeth Debicki and Domhnall Gleeson.
The Peter Rabbit Afternoon Tea features sweet treats inspired by Peter’s favourite vegetable patch, along with a Champagne Devaux botanical cocktail.
Created by Michelin-awarded chef Shaun Rankin, the experience begins with a refreshing chilled tomato gazpacho, followed by an array of delicate sandwiches with fillings including mozzarella, pesto and basil, plus free-range egg mayonnaise and chickweed.
Petit fours come in the form of carrot cake, strawberry and lavender pavlova, dark chocolate and beetroot brownie, and rhubarb and custard.
The Peter Rabbit Afternoon Tea will be served in the glamourous Drawing Room at the luxury boutique hotel, Flemings Mayfair. Part of an impressive £16 million refurbishment, the elegant Regency drawing room features high ceilings, large sash windows and the original fireplace from 1851, when the hotel was established.
Served daily from 12.30pm-5pm priced at £34.50pp (or £48pp with a Champagne Devaux cocktail) until 31 March 2018.
