I mean, this one says it all in the name. Proudly placing themselves at ‘the heart of coffee’ within their slogan, Artisan is a wonderful little selection of craft coffee shops scattered across west London. They are coffee focused here, and have a fun loving space that flirts with pushing design boundaries. They have built everything by hand around the Barista, so they have the space they need to prepare the most beautiful coffees.

2 Barossa, Fulham 
Would you like to experience the Australian coffee and cafe culture here in London? Well, this one’s for you then. Barossa in Fulham specialises in expertly and professionally made espresso coffee, supplied by the wonderful Caravan restaurants. Expect quality coffee in casual surroundings – perfect for a quick lunch break tread.

3 Chief Coffee, Chiswick
Located in a quiet mews just off Turnham Green Terrace, this cute café sits on the site of a Victorian bottling factory and serves up some of the best coffee in west London. They make cold-brews and iced-coffees in-house and really know what they are doing here. And it’s not all about the coffee here, it’a about a full and fun experience to accompany the hot goodness. So if that’s not enough, you can pay Pinball in their downstairs lounge – so cool!

4 The Elgin, Maida Vale
The Elgin has grown a reputation for their perfectionism when it comes to the hard, brown stuff. Even though they are primarily known as a pub and gastro destination, the baristas will serve up the best of the best coffee – and if they are unhappy with the result, they will make it again until they are happy. That’s coffee service for you!

You can tell their are some Australian influences going on here, as everything is served up with a smile and a little ray of sunshine. So many bright colours greet you at Farm Girl and the white-washed walls make even the dull days seem a little bit brighter. 7 KuPP, Paddington
Scandi-inspired restaurant, bar & café KuPP has unveiled a special spiked coffee to celebrate London Coffee Festival (7-10 April), along with a guest speciality brew for the whole month. The Scandi-spiked coffee, a twist on the classic Irish Coffee, is a delicious blend of coffee and Aquavit, finished with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon sugar. 8 Talkhouse, Notting Hill 
Talkhouse is a coffee house with contemporary decor and a terrace, serving breakfast, lunch, pastries and cakes. Also with a Scandi vibe to its craft coffee offerings, they pour filter coffee through the popular Aeropress machines. You won’t regretting popping in here for a hot treat…

9 Tamp, Chiswick
Tamp Coffee is a modern but rustic feeling coffee shop with a patio for espresso drinks and organic smoothies, plus it also offers empanadas.
