3 ‘Miracle’ Pop Ups Are Heading for London this Christmas

Christmas isn’t cancelled after all! Thanks to the constant innovation of London’s hospitality industry, three little Christmas miracles are headed for the capital this year…

Three awesome Miracle on 34th Street-inspired pop-ups are set to take London by storm this Christmas, saving us from the doom and gloom that Covid-19 insists on laying upon our weary souls.

Each inspired in their own way by the perennial Christmas movie favourite, the little miracles range from a kitsch bar serving up creative cocktails and nostalgic feels to a fabulously over the top restaurant installation and a winter forest made up of actual real-life Christmas trees.

First up is Miracle at 34, a glittering bauble installation at 34 Mayfair restaurant that’s already in situ, such is the eagerness to resuscitate our flagging spirits.

The festive installation, created in collaboration with Nyetimber, was designed by Jane Wadham and covers every inch of the restaurant in Christmas decorations – approximately 14,000 of them, including 8,400 glittering and colourful baubles.

Next up there’s Miracle on Kingdom Street, a rooftop winter wonderland launching at Pergola Paddington on 12 November.

One of summer’s most popular alfresco rooftop destinations, Pergola Paddington’s seasonal transformation will offer up a winter wonderland forest with 200 real Christmas trees, as well as Moët & Chandon Alpine lodges with log fires, warming tipples like hot toddies, and an Alpine pop-up restaurant serving raclette, boozy cheese fondue and Christmas burgers.

Last but certainly not least is Miracle at Henrietta, created by US-based hospitality entrepreneurs the Experimental Group, famous across America for its Miracle pop-up bar phenomenon.

Launching at Henrietta Hotel in Covent Garden on 16 November, Miracle at Henrietta will transport you back in time to Christmas past, with a space inspired by a 70s Christmas home featuring retro decorations and offering Christmas concoctions like the Bad Santa and SanTaRex, all served in kitsch glassware.
