Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park might have been cancelled this year due to Covid-19, but The Chesterfield Mayfair’s Winter Wonderland Afternoon Tea is full steam ahead!

Christmas afternoon tea is a festive must for London locals and visitors alike, so we’re delighted to hear that The Chesterfield Mayfair is paying tribute to one of the capital’s most famous festive attractions – Winter Wonderland, which has sadly been cancelled this year – in the form of a delicious looking afternoon tea.

Starting with a Mulled Wine Taster welcome drink, the Winter Wonderland Afternoon Tea features festive sandwiches such as Pulled Ham Hock, Brie and Spiced Apple Chutney on onion bread and smoked salmon and cream cheese on beetroot bread.

Freshly baked cranberry and chocolate scones will be served with clotted cream and homemade strawberry jam, and festive pastries include chocolate Yule log, a pistachio and cranberry slice, gingerbread man cupcake, clementine macaron, cranberry and coconut Christmas ball and Christmas tree chocolate and coffee pot.

The Chesterfield Mayfair’s Winter Wonderland Afternoon Tea is full of festive treats

The afternoon tea, priced £47.50pp, is served with a choice of loose teas, flowering teas, coffee or hot chocolate – including the new Chesterfield Christmas Blend, a liquorice tea and Fruit Salad Candy Tea. You can also upgrade with a glass of brut, rosé or white label Lanson Champagne (£56.50pp).

Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available upon request, and there’s also a children’s version of the Christmas afternoon tea for under 12s, priced £25.

The Chesterfield Mayfair is also offering a seven-course Christmas Day dinner in Butlers Restaurant this year, priced from £145pp or £72.50 for kids aged 2-12 years old (under 2s dine free).

The Winter Wonderland Afternoon Tea is available from 23 November 2020 until 3 January 2021. To book see chesterfieldmayfair.com
