Rick Stein, Barnes

Rick Stein’s latest opening in Barnes is causing quite a stir – and now you have the chance to win a three course meal for two…

It’s fair to say that The Depot in Barnes and Rick Stein could both be described as institutions. And when the latter was taken over by the former earlier this year, it was big news for west London’s culinary scene. After 30 years of pretty much defining local brasserie, The Depot’s founding fathers have sold up, and the restaurant has begun a new era under the reins of the iconic chef-restaurateur.

Having always professed that he would never open a London restaurant, Stein readily admits that what attracted him to the gorgeous riverside site in Barnes is that it’s as London as he can get without feeling like you’re actually in London. The menu remains faithful to Stein’s roots, which have wowed us since the 1975 opening of The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, in a wonderfully warm interior (pictured above).

To celebrate the opening of Rick Stein, Barnes, The Resident is offering one lucky reader the chance to win a three course meal for two people and a bottle of house wine. To enter, fill in the form below the picture gallery…
