If you've got a hankering for dirty delicious burgers, chef Whyte Rushen will take over The Standard, London's ground floor hang for one glorious, meaty day.

The self-professed 'pop up qween' will host a burger party in the dreamy 70s-esque Double Standard bar and its sun soaked terrace on Saturday August 6 from 2pm until late.

Whyte's smash burgers, already a gout risk, will be beefed (ha ha) up in honour of the venue's name with twice the meat, twice the cheese and twice the mess.

The ex-Brat and Scully St James chef will also be serving up loaded luxury fries - hand cut duck fat fried piled with fresh truffle, aged balsamic mayonnaise crispy onions, chives and hot sauce.

Burgers and cocktails are a particularly happy union, and rye-ball cocktails, made from Bulleit Bourbon and Lucardo Aperitivo will be served up alongside the burgers.

There will also be DJs to keep the party and digestion moving.

Burger party tickets are £35 a pop, and includes entry, a burger and a cocktail. If you want to add caviar to your feast, that's an extra £15.

Date: Saturday, August 6

Time: 2pm till late

Tickets: £35

Address: 10 Argyle Street, The Standard WC1H 8EG
