Marcus Wareing‘s restaurant Tredwells has won the Best Restaurant of the Year – London at the AA Hospitality Awards

It is relatively new on the London dining scene, but Tredwells is already an award-winner. Marcus Wareing’s latest offering, which opened in September 2014, has been named the Best Restaurant of the Year in the London category at the annual AA Hospitality Awards.

Each year the AA independently inspects hundreds of restaurants across the UK to find high-quality cuisine and excellent hospitality. Tredwell’s was praised for its diverse menu featuring globally-inspired dishes, its focus on British ingredients and its vibrant atmosphere.

Mains include a slow cooked short beef rib and miso baked cod with cauliflower, samphire and sesame. As for pudding? It’s hard to choose between gin and tonic cheesecake and the salted caramel and chocolate praline tart.

‘It is amazing for Tredwell’s to be acknowledged by the AA Hospitality Awards and it is a brilliant showcase for all the hard work the team have put in,’ Wareing said. To win this award feels very special.’

The Covent Garden restaurant follows in the footsteps of another West End hot spot and last year’s winner, The Berners Tavern.
