1. Cinnamon Soho

This lively Indian restaurant is adding three limited edition dishes to its menu this Halloween but be warned, they will only appeal to meat eaters! Choose from Devilled Duck Hearts crusted with coriander and chili and served with hot garlic chutney, Oxtail Samosas with caper lime raita and a tamarind chutney, or The Brain Burger. 2. York & Albany, Camden

The recently refurbished deli at this North London restaurant will turn into a haunted house on 31 October. Younger visitors can enjoy apple bobbing, cookie decorating and trick-or-treating. 4. The Rivington Pumpkin Patch at Rivington Greenwich

There’s fun for all the family at this Greenwich restaurant, which will transform into a pumpkin patch for Halloween. Rivington Grog, made with pumpkin oil, rum, lime, ginger, Chartreuse, avocado and Tepitio Blanco, will be on offer for the adults, while the little ones can bring their pre-carved pumpkin masterpieces in for judging 31 October at 5pm. 5. London House, Battersea

Head chef Anna Haugh will be serving up a Halloween-inspired à la carte menu including a pumpkin and ginger soup followed by crispy pork belly with colcannon and mini candied apples. 6. Balthazar, Covent Garden

From 24 October to 1 November, this favourite brunch spot will be adding a few Halloween treats to its menu. Indulge in a special Frightening Fizz cocktail (it’s ghoulishly green with drips of bloodiness) or visit Balthazar’s Boulangerie to stock up on spooky bat cookies (£2). 7. Bread Street Kitchen, St Paul’s

Stop into this informal City restaurant to try The Smashing Pumpkin cocktail – a concoction of pumpkin syrup, fresh lemon, mint and served in a mini pumpkin from 26 October to 5 November. On Halloween night, M Restaurants will be transformed into a Hollywood speakeasy for a Murder Mystery dinner. Blackwatch Entertainment will be running the show with professional actors on site, while Head Chef Jarad McCarroll (formerly of Chiltern Firehouse) will serve up a set-menu of cured trout, yellow fin tuna yakotori and a selection of ‘deadly’ desserts.
