The Dorchester is known for its top-notch restaurant and afternoon teas. Now the five-star hotel is expanding its foodie offering with a brand new café

London’s finest coffee shops are about to get some tough competition.

The Dorchester will embrace London’s coffee craze when it opens the doors to Parcafé on 1 October.

The café will be located next to the The Dorchester Ballroom on Park Lane and as to be expected from a five-star hotel, the experience here will be focused on luxury. Coffee from South London roasters Alchemy plus teas and fresh juices will be served by a team of expert baristas alongside pastries, sandwiches and salads. Sweet treats including cookies, cupcakes and home-made fudge will no doubt be enough to tempt hotel guests and passers by.

Customers will be greeted by the shop’s sleek interior design, too. A La Marzocco coffee machine will take centre stage inside the marbled-floor shop, which has been decorated to reflect the colours of the coffee served here. Floral displays created by The Dorchester’s resident florist Phil Hammond will also be on show.

It sounds like London’s café scene is about to welcome a very glamorous new arrival.

Parcafé will be open seven days a week, from 6.30am to 8pm.
