3 The Harwood Arms

Cuisine: British

In 2010 The Harwood Arms in Walham Grove was the first pub in London to be awarded a Michelin Star. Need we say much more? The brainchild of Brett Graham of the Ledbury restaurant and Mike Robinson of the Pot Kiln pub in Berkshire, it’s perhaps little wonder that the food is fantastic. The star doesn’t have to mean expensive either, The Harwood Arms offers a set daily lunch menu from Tuesday to Friday; priced at £20 for two courses and £25 for three courses.

A trip to The Blue Elephant will transport you to Thailand, via ImperialWharf. The restaurant (formerly in Fulham Broadway) has an impressive Thai-style interior décor, which was blessed by monks from Wimbledon’s Buddhapadipa Temple when the restaurant relocated. Cuisine: Modern British

Claude and Cedric Bosi’s pub The Malt House in Fulham is popular with Fulham locals, and the Resident can vouch for why. The regularly updated menu at The Malt House does not disappoint; perhaps because the a la carte menu is overseen by Claude Bosi (who has 2 Michelin stars), who is said to taste all the dishes personally before they make it onto the menu.

Cuisine: Spanish

We couldn’t do a Fulham foodie round-up without including this Fulham Broadway institution. El Metro opened in 1989 – same year SW resident was first published – so has been serving tapas to Fulham residents for 25 years. We think that’s testament enough to the quality of the food here. If you haven’t been already, what are you waiting for?
