This afternoon tea is a musically-inspired symphony of sandwiches and sweet treats. 2 The Pelican, Notting Hill

This west London pub - which just made it into the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland - is putting on its popular lobster and monkfish pie for the mammas, which you can eat in-pub, pre-order for a fuss free home lunch, or takeaway.

3 Bluebird Chelsea, Chelsea

The King's Road restaurant have an offer with blow dry bar Duck & Dry. Make your mum feel like a queen and book your mum in for a blow dry and then brunch on the likes of French toast or eggs Benedict along with a glass of fizz and enjoy it in style at Bluebird's classic terrace. Blow dry vouchers can be redeemed from Saturday March 18 until the end of the month. For brunch and a blow dry, it's £55.

4 Afternoon Tea At The Carlton Tower Jumeirah, Knightsbridge

Pamper your mum with a luxurious afternoon tea by 2019 World’s Best Pastry Chef Jessica Prealpato. It starts with duck egg and black truffle stuffed mini croissants and home-cured salmon sandwiches with roasted pine-nut cream cheese, whipped goat cheese mousse with Guiness crumble. Scones come classic and with dried grape and chocolate,  served alongside a lemon merengue tart.

5 Galvin's Bar & Grill

Treat yourself and your mum to a refined three course meal by Michelin-starred Chris and Jeff Galvin in one of the most swanky dining rooms in London. Charred mackerel, duck leg confit and potato terrine, along with roast beef and chicken, and seafood dishes are on the menu, and mums will be able to take home special bouquet of preserved flowers by Shida Preserved Flowers as a memento of the day.

The South African-inspired restaurant and bar will put on a two or three-course (£32/£40) Mother's Day menu, available between March 17-19 for lunch or dinner. 7 Searcys at the Gherkin, City

8 Alex Webb on Park Lane, Park Lane InterContinental, Hyde Park 

Opening for the first time on a Sunday, new (ish) restaurant Alex Webb on Park Lane is popping on three-course lunch (£95pp) inspired by nostalgic childhood flavours but prepared for adults. Start with a pink champagne cocktail and a Devon crab tart before diving into menu with the likes of beef carpaccio; steamed turbot and scallop mousse; and the showstopping caramel tart with marmalade gel for dessert. Add a wine pairing for £38.

9 Afternoon Sea at The Mayfair Chippy

Neighbourhood restaurant The Mayfair Chippy is putting on a seafood riff on the traditional afternoon tea. The 1AA Rosette-awarded restaurant is replacing finger sandwiches, scones and pastries with three tiers of seafood - a sumptuous feast of prawns, mussels, oysters and scallops for you and your mum, that comes with sourdough bread.

10 Mother's Day Lunch at Quaglino's, St James's

For a touch of glamour in your Mother's Day celebration, the historic Quaglino's is putting on a Mother's Day Lunch (£70) to be enjoying in its resplendent art deco ballroom dining room. Feast on a refined British menu - duck liver parfait; a chicken or beef roast spread; and Dover sole meuniere for example - while musician perform soulful songs live.

11 Sunday Lunch & Film at Laurel’s On The Roof, Shoreditch

Mums can enjoy a roast on the house (tables of 4+) at the Mondrian Shoreditch's rooftop restaurant.
