Shake off the shackles of winter and embrace a Modern Mayfair Garden dining experience worthy of Monet at Le Caprice in St James

Le Caprice restaurant has partnered with Perrier-Jouët Champagne and Floris London to create a Modern Mayfair Garden dining experience, combining great food and stunning art in an idyllic urban garden, in celebration of the Royal Academy of Arts’ landmark exhibition, Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse.

The RA’s magnificent exhibition, which sees Claude Monet’s water lily paintings – the Agapanthus Triptych – brought to the UK and on show in Europe for the first time, charts the significant role of the garden through the history of art. Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse showcases paintings from some of the greatest artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, reuniting The Agapanthus Triptych with Renoir’s Monet Painting in His Garden at Argenteuil and Kandinsky’s Murnau The Garden II.

During the exhibition, running from now until 20 April 2016, Le Caprice has opened its terrace, redesigned in partnership with Perrier-Jouët as a beautiful modern city garden, filled with wrought-iron furniture, flower boxes and a rose archway – reflective of Perrier-Jouët’s unique style of floral elegance and their alignment with the arts.
