3 Oblix at The Shard, London Bridge

Found on the 32nd floor of The Shard, the sleek restaurant is known for its awe-inspiring views as well as its sophisticated, seasonal dishes cooked on a charcoal grill. 5 Sky Garden's Darwin Brasserie, City

The Sky Garden's view is glorious, and on a good day the floor to ceiling window see the light stream in. Not quite a sky high jungle, but verdant foliage abound, Darwin Brasserie's weekend brunch menu has both breakfasty and lunchy dishes. Brunchers get a three course menu for £49.50, which you can add a glass of fizz to or a cocktail.

6 Duck And Waffle, City

Good for a weekday breakfast and better for a leisurely weekend brunch, the menu is long and the views of the City are sweeping. There's waffles, of course, and eggs almost every which way, but there's also less common breakfast dishes such as the foie gras creme brulee with pork crackling and marmalade brioche and the vegan congee with tofu, spring onion and hazelnuts.
