D&D London has announced that, on 21 March 2019, it will be closing the doors of Notting Hill’s Kensington Place Restaurant and Fish Shop.

The classic neighbourhood restaurant and shop, stalwarts of west London for more than 30 years, is closing to make way for the Newcombe House property development by Brockton Capital and U+I, which has not been without its controversy.

‘Kensington Place has had an illustrious history since it first opened in 1987,’ said Des Gunewardena, CEO & Chairman of D&D London.

‘It was one of the restaurants that kickstarted the renaissance of London restaurants and we have been its proud owners since 2007.

‘We will miss Kensington Place dearly and we hope that many of our customers and friends will join us in our last few weeks to wish KP a very jolly goodbye.’

Following closure, the majority of staff will transfer employment to other restaurant within the D&D London group.
