The team behind Peckham"s Coal Rooms have put a festive spin on the classic New York Sour, replacing the whiskey with branding and the typical red wine float with mulled wine.
50ml Cognac (Hennessy VS comes recommended)
25ml Sugar syrup
25ml Lemon juice
15ml Mulled wine
Dried orange wheel to garnish Chill a coupe glass then combine the cognac, sugar syrup lemon juice and mulled wine in a shaker with lots of ice and shake vigorously.
Double strain into coupe and gently float the mulled wine over the back of a bar spoon onto the top of the cocktail.
Garnish with a dried orange wheel and enjoy.
