The Orange Tree boutique hotel

The Orange Tree is reopening as a boutique hotel and pub this month after a massive refurb. The thirteen new rooms include stunning en-suite bedrooms, three feature rooms and a family suite all with a distressed chic feel that nods to both English country pub and British eccentricity. The room design takes influences from the area’s local green spaces and Kew Gardens for its décor, while roll top baths, king-sized beds, flat screen TVs and large walk in showers – are also all part of the room designs. The main bar and dining room feature classic dishes and gastro-pub specials all using seasonal top-quality ingredients including confit Gressingham duck cottage pie with Butler’s Secret cheddar mash and crispy squid, marinated courgette and white bean salad with lemon and basil mayonnaise. Room rates start at £109. 24-45 Kew Road, TW9 2NQ; 020 8940 0944; orangetreerichmond.co.uk
