For those wishing they were on a tropical island, here's your chance to win a trip to Thailand, courtesy of the Thai Embassy's Thailand Showcase held at King's Cross this weekend.
Held at Canopy Market in Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross, the Thailand Showcase celebrates the best of Thai culture, with food and drink and events throughout the weekend.
From Friday August 5-7, the showcase pulls together some of London's favourite Thai restaurants including Rosa's Thai Cafe, Nipa by Royal Lancaster London, Thai Tho in Soho and Wimbledon, and Norwood's Siam Niyom.
These restaurants are among the street food vendors that will plate up dishes made up of the kind of aromas and flavours that keep you reaching for more.
You've got som tam, the traditional papaya salad, green curries and mango and sticky rice among the street food offerings, which you can wash down with a cold Chang beer or two.
The food market runs along side a cultural programme of Thai dance performances and Muay Thai shows, as well as a market selling nik-nak and handicraft such as jewellery, accessories and homewares among other things you would discover in an actual Thai market.
There's also a raffle worth entering as the grand prize is a trip for two to the land of smiles, now the country has reopened after Covid.
The trip includes a Thai Airways flight from London to Bangkok and a two-night stay in a five-star hotel in the country’s capital.
Thailand Showcase runs Friday, August 5, 1pm-8pm; Saturday, August 6, 11am-6pm; and Sunday, August 7, 11am-6pm, at Canopy Market, King’s Cross, London, N1C
