1 NY-LON takes off at the O2
The new NY-LON by Virgin Atlantic and Delta at The O2, Greenwich, is the first out-of-airport lounge bar of its kind in London. The stylish new aviation-themed lounge bar channels the spirit of checking into a first class lounge with sleek design, great service and even a little call button to order your drinks. The bar replicates an aircraft engine with mirrored, fuselage-effect walls and cloud-like pendant lights, and serves cocktails and light bites inspired by the airlines’ heritage and those two great cities – New York and London. Menu highlights include the Brooklyn crab salad and Billingsgate fish pie.

3 La Petite Bouchee’s mini Sydenham bistro
La Petite Bouchee is a vintage Citroen HY camper converted into a French bistro for four. Parked in Sydenham Wells Park, the pop-up has been in operation for just over a year. Chef patron Anita-Clare Field’s menu features simple yet hugely flavoursome French classics and beyond in pre-booked events. All ingredients are sourced locally or homegrown, all the vinaigrettes, sauces and preserves are made from scratch and they use only the finest seasonal organic ingredients.

4 Award-winning Boqueria Tapas, Brixton
Brixton’s Boqueria Tapas has scooped the Reader Award for Best Local Restaurant in London in the Waitrose Good Food Guide Awards. The establishment beat off stiff competition from some of London’s best-known restaurants with its ‘exquisite tapas’ and ‘good value’ menu.

5 Four Hundred Rabbits, Crystal Palace
Four Hundred Rabbits is a brand new restaurant experience from the brothers behind the much-loved The Lido Café in Brockwell Park have extended their hospitality to Crystal Palace with 400 Rabbits, a new restaurant experience offering quality beer and pizza. The pizza base is made of sourdough for tastier, lighter crust, and the deliciously original and seasonal array of toppings are from artisanal producers. There will be four rotating beers on tap and six in bottles and cans, again, all artisan. Look out for our review in the November issue of Living South Resident.
