One of Kensington’s most-acclaimed new restaurants, Acciuga is celebrating its first anniversary with a new summer menu, as well as a display of artwork by acclaimed Italian pop artist Andy Fumagalli. Its name may look intimidating to pronounce (it’s sounded out like a sneeze: a-choo-ga, and means anchovy in Italian) but this unassuming restaurant on High Street Kensington is every bit worth the effort. With his dishes, 25 year old head chef Guglielmo Arnulfo celebrates his home region of Liguria in Northern Italy and offers a variety of recipes never seen before in the UK. Head down to try a carbonara that none other than AA Gill called ‘the best he had eaten in England’.
