A sister venue to a popular riverside restaurant in Hammersmith has opened Brentford.

Restaurateur Sam Harrison who co-owns elegant Hammersmith Thameside restaurant Sam’s Riverside has opened a second restaurant today, Tuesday, November 21, following a successful soft launch.

Found in the new Brentford Project development by Ballymore on the Rive Brent, it echoes the sleek interior stylings and contemporary brasserie feel of its Hammersmith sibling.

The glamourous dining room boasts rock star views of its water locale, with two walls of window and bi-folding doors that will open up come warmer weather.

A gentle hued colour scheme and velvety banquette seating is offset by marble surfaces, statement lighting and brass trims, while an art-deco inspired island bar, suitable for eating and drinking, takes up centre stage.

Overseen by Head Chef Jacob Keen Downs, the menu also take its cues from Sam’s Riversides’ successes, featuring many tried and tested hit meals.

This includes Parmesan churros and crab on toast, as well as a solid selection of oysters and shellfish.

Keen Downs has also put together a selection of seasonal plates as well such as crispy duck salad with watercress and persimmon, bass ceviche with avocado and chilli, chargrill octopus with Dorset nduja and potato and gurnard and mussel stew.

On Sundays, the kitchen prepares traditional roasts in addition to the regular a la carte options.

The short bar menu contains oysters and several burgers including the pork and shrimp burger. Wines start from £28 a bottle.

The restaurant is one of the new ventures opening in the Brent River precinct, which connects the High Street to the waterfront.

Sam’s Riverside joins Robin Gill’s bakery and cafe Rye by the Water, Sanat Maria Pizzeria, The Brewery Tap and Plonker’s Wine Bar.
