The Foodies Festival - known as the 'Gastro Glastonbury' - runs over May Bank Holiday weekend in the beautiful grounds of Syon Park.

The three day event features live cooking demos from top chefs, alongside music from chart-topping disco Queen Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Scouting for Girls, and Fleur East.

Former MasterChef, Great British Bake Off and Great British Menu contestants taking part include 2022 Bake Off winner Syabira Yusoff, MasterChef: The Professionals 2022 champion, Nikita Pathakji and MasterChef champion Dhruv Baker.

MasterChef: The Professionals champions Alex Webb and Stephen Edwards, MasterChef: The Professionals finalist, Charlie Jeffreys, GBBO finalist Juergen Krauss, and the stars of Channel 4’s Extreme Cake Makers, Christine and Phil Jensen also appear alongside Love Island cast members The Alberti Twins.

New for this year is a TV Chef Challenge with MasterChef, Bake Off and Great British Menu winners staging a competitive cook-off to create the most impressive dish.

Many of the top chefs will be in the Cookbook Shop signing their books.

Syabira Yusoff said: "I’m looking forward to sharing my passion and cooking in-front of a live audience on the Foodies Festival tour. I’ll be baking some of my favourite cakes, sharing recipie ideas and talking about my amazing experience on the Great British Bake Off."

Ellis-Bextor said it was wonderful to be joining the Foodies Festival tour again: "Warm summer weekends full of lovely food and music, and families having fun together – I can’t wait!"

Michelin star chefs taking to the live demo tents over the three days to showcase their signature dishes, and share tips and tricks, include Sameer Taneja, from Benares in Mayfair, Asimakis Chaniotis, head from Pied a Terre in Fitzrovia, and Ben Wood, head chef from Barrafina in Soho.

Star bakers will whip up showstoppers in the Cake & Bake Theatre, while The Kids Cookery School offers younger guests the chance to make delicious dishes which they can take away. The Drinks Theatre includes tutored Champagne, Beer, Cider, Cocktail and Wine-tasting with the likes of Joe Wadsack, and Tom Surgey.

In the shopping village there's the chance to meet producers in the Artisan Market and try a range of street food and unusual dishes in the Feasting Tent.

A fairground, and children’s activities will keep younger visitors happy, while theatre takeover include Drag Queens, comedy and singalongs.

There's even a doughnut dash to eat the most doughnuts against the clock while completing silly tasks and a challenge from world Chilli eating champion Shahina Waseem to take part in the 'League of Fire'.

Director Sue Hitchen said: "Foodies Festivals are a celebration of amazing food, drink and entertainment and we are proud to support local artisan producers and restaurants. 

"We’ve all had a difficult few years, so to help keep things affordable festival prices have been frozen for the third year running – even though our stars and features get bigger and better every year. We offer a great value day out for families and friends."

Foodies Festival takes over Syon Park in Brentford from May 27-29 with day tickets from £3 for children and adults £19, and weekend tickets £38.
