Eat Out to Help Out is a great way to get us back out and spending money at restaurants, cafes and pubs that desperately need our custom to get back on their feet, but let’s face it, a £10 discount per person won’t get you far at London prices! Fortunately, some generous eateries are going one better, offering extensions and supplementary offers to help us all get through these tumultuous times. The Resident picks out some of the best offers…

1 Gordon Ramsay’s Love London Menus, various locations
Seven of Gordon Ramsay’s London restaurants are offering a special Love London menu, where two people can dine on two courses for £30, making it £15 each when dining with a friend. Throw in the Chancellor’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme, and on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in August you can both take 50% off, making it £7.50 each. That’s a major bargain! Restaurant’s taking part are: Heddon Street Kitchen, Piccadilly, London House, Battersea, Union Street Cafe, Southwark, The Narrow, Limehouse, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, Mayfair, and York & Albany, Camden.

2 SMOKESTAK, Shoreditch
SMOKESTAK, the BBQ restaurant founded by chef David Carter, is offering a 4for£10 menu to help Londoners squeeze every drop from the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. Available from Monday to Wednesday, barbecue aficionados can order a starter, signature meat/bun combo, side and gelato for just £10pp, once the EOTHO discount has been applied. The ‘4for10’ August menu features a choice of charred corn salsa; crispy pigtails or smoked cods roe to start. Then there are signature smoked meats of beef brisket, native-breed pulled pork, and chilli and fennel sausage. On the side, choose from skin-on chips with aioli, ginger and chilli slaw, and smoked pit beans. To finish, there’s Happy Endings MALT soft serve or Hackney Gelato’s salted caramel or mango sorbet, all served in a waffle cone.

3 Carluccio’s, Richmond (other branches to follow)
Carluccio’s Richmond, which reopened its doors on 30 July, is extending the Eat Out to Help Out scheme with 50% off your total food and soft drinks bill throughout August, without the £10pp limit. Plus, there’s an additional £10 off each bottle of wine ordered. Cheers to that! To celebrate its reopening, Carluccio’s Richmond is also offering a complimentary bottle of beer or glass of bubbles for all bookings up until 2 August. The EOTHO offer is available from Monday to Wednesday throughout August. Carluccio’s is gradually reopening branches nationwide, and the offer will be available everywhere. The next branch to open is South Kensington on 6 Aug. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Carluccio’s All-Day menu feature the likes of Spaghetti Carbonara, Risotto ai Funghi and Chicken Milanese, as well as the plant-based Veganese.

4 Pollen Street Social (Mayfair) & Social Eating House (Soho)
For a Michelin-star meal on a budget, look no further than Jason Atherton’s Social Eating House in Soho. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays you can enjoy the Prix Fixe menu at lunch time and from 6pm-6.30pm, with two courses for just £22, meaning you can enjoy a two-course Michelin-starred meal for only £12, once the Eat Out to Help Out discount has been applied. Opt three courses for £28 and add a cocktail for £36. At Pollen Street Social, Jason’s flagship Michelin-star restaurant in Mayfair, you can enjoy the set lunch menu, usually priced at £39.50 for three courses, for just £29.50 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

5 Townsend at Whitechapel Gallery
Townsend at Whitechapel Gallery, opened by Nick Gilkinson in February – just before the world turned on its head – is helping customers make the most of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme by offering two specially priced set menus. Choose from a three-course set menu priced at £20 for lunch (£10 when you apply the EOTHO offer) on Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtimes, and a four-course set dinner menu for £28 (£18 when you apply the EOTHO offer) available every Wednesday evening. Located within Whitechapel Gallery, it’s a great spot to catch an exhibition before or after dining – if you do visit the exhibition, you’ll get a free glass of wine!

6 The Ivy Cafe, various locations
Most of The Ivy Collection’s London cafes and brasseries are taking part in dishy Rishi’s Eat Out to Help Out initiative this August, with half price off all food and soft drinks up to the value of £10pp every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, across all menus. To make the most of the offering, The Ivy team has created a new set menu, available all day from 11.30am, priced at £30 for two courses or £35 for three. Apply the EOTHO offer Mon-Weds and that’s two courses for £20 – not bad at all. Enjoy the likes of crispy duck salad, roast beef fillet and the infamous melting chocolate bombe. Find the offer at The Ivy Chelsea Garden, Kensington Brasserie, Market Grill (Covent Garden), Victoria, Soho Brasserie, Marylebone, St John’s Wood, Blackheath, Richmond, Wimbledon and Tower Bridge.

7 D&D London, various locations
The D&D London restaurant group, which has restaurants all over London, is helping customers make the most of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme with new three-course set menus at each restaurant. Available every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in August at each of the 18 D&D London restaurants currently open in England, the menus are priced from £25-£40 before the £10 discount, meaning diners can enjoy a three-course meal for as little as £15pp. Find the £25 menus at Radici, Islington, and Cantina del Ponte, Shad Thames. Find the £35 menus at Fiume, Battersea, Paternoster Chop House, the City, Bluebird Chelsea, Butlers Wharf Chop House, Shad Thames, 14 Hills, the City, Skylon, South Bank, and German Gymnasium, King’s Cross. Finally, you’ll find the £45 menus at Le Pont de la Tour, Shad Thames, Orrery, Marylebone, Coq d’Argent, the City, and Madison, also in the City.

8 Bill’s, various venues
Bill’s, which has 19 restaurants across London, has one-upped the Chancellor’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme by offering new set menus with a complimentary glass of wine that, when combined with the EOTHO scheme will set you back less than a tenner. The We’re joining in! All Day Set Menu offers two courses for £15.50 and three courses for £19.95, and the We’re joining in! The Incredible Menu offers two courses for £19.95 and three courses for £24.95 – all with a complementary glass of red or white wine. The 50% off, up to £10 offer, is applicable to both celebratory menus, available Mon-Weds from 11.30am. There’s also a new breakfast menu, available from 8am Mon-Weds to which the Government’s scheme also applies.

9 BOXPARK, Shoreditch, Wembley & Croydon
Finally, somebody has realised that our hard earned cash tends to disappear more on booze than food! As well as 50% off meals from over 40 of its street food restaurants from Mon-Weds throughout August, all BOXPARK bars in Shoreditch, Croydon and Wembley will be offering 50% off across the entire drinks menu, including alcoholic beverages. Diners can also get up to 20% off during the rest of the week (Thurs-Sun) across select street food traders. There’s just one tiny catch – to gain entry into any BOXPARK venue and take advantage of these special offers, you need to download the BOXPARK Black Card.

10 Hard Rock Cafe, Piccadilly Circus
Hard Rock Cafe in Piccadilly Circus is extending its Eat Out to Help Out offering to Thursdays and Fridays, meaning you can take advantage of 50% off food and softies, up to £10, from Monday to Friday. Enjoy the likes of Hard Rock’s award-winning steak burgers like The Original Legendary Burger or Vegan Moving Mountains Burger washed down with milk shake for a little less this summer. Plus, Hard Rock Cafe now has a new alfresco terrace by the London Pavilion and Criterion Theatre right in the heart of Piccadilly Circus – perfect for people watching while the crowds of tourists are less manic than usual!

11 Three Cheers Pub Co, various locations
Three Cheers Pub Co, the London pub group that runs the likes of The Bedford in Balham, The Avalon in Clapham and The Rosendale in West Dulwich, is extending Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s Eat Out to Help Out discount to run throughout August and September. With nine venues, predominantly in south London, the award-winning pub group is offering customers 50% off food and non-alcoholic drinks on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays right up until 30 September. The offer is redeemable once per visit, but there is no limit to the number of times you use the scheme. No minimum spend is required, but the offer is not available on takeaway food or drinks, or alcohol.

12 FishWorks Marylebone
FishWorks Fishmonger and Restaurant in Marylebone has just reopened its doors for dining in, has launched a new meal and oyster delivery service if you prefer to stay at home, and is taking part in Eat Out to Help Out. To celebrate the reopening, FishWorks Marylebone will be offering 50% off the total food and non-alcoholic drinks bill, without the £10 cap. Plus, you can complement the meal with a perfectly paired wine by FishWorks’ resident sommelier with £10 off each bottle. The deal is available Monday to Wednesday throughout August. Open daily from 12pm to 10pm for lunch and dinner, the restaurant will be serving up a new menu complete with classics such as steamed lobster with garlic butter, Jersey oysters with shallot vinegar and Tabasco, a grilled seafood platter and Cornish ale battered fish and chips.

13 Murger Han, Euston & Mayfair
Murger Han, London’s first Xi’an restaurant, has put together a great value menu as part of the Eat Out To Help Out initiative by offering a complete meal of starter, main, dessert and soft drink for £10 (including the EOTHO discount). Available at both the Euston and Mayfair venues from Monday to Wednesday, midday to 10pm, you can enjoy a starter of pan-baked flatbread filled with your choice of shredded pork belly or beef with peppers and cumin, choose a main dish from any of the 25 noodles dishes on the menu, like Biang Biang Noodle with with Spicy Braised Pork, and a dessert of Ice Cream Mochi on green tea, black sesame, chocolate or strawberry flavours – all for a tenner.

14 Brindisa, London Bridge, Battersea, Soho, Shoreditch & South Kensington
Brindisa has decided to extend its Eat Out to Help Out offer into September, offering 50% off food (up to £10 per person) every Monday to Wednesday – and, from 1 September, Thursdays too – until the end of the month. Lucky diners will be able to enjoy a discount on their food at all of the Tapas Brindisa sites including London Bridge, Battersea, Soho, Shoreditch and South Kensington. 15 El Pirata, Mayfair
Popular Mayfair Spanish restaurant and tapas bar El Pirata is offering its Introduction to Tapas sharing menu – normally priced £24.50pp – for just £10pp during Eat Out to Help Out. The sharing menu includes 10 tapas, with dishes including a selection of cured Iberian meats, padron peppers from Galicia, seafood salad, fried whitebait, prawns pil-pil and croquetas de pollo.

16 Crooked Well, Camberwell
The Crooked Well in Camberwell is serving up a three course menu for £22, which means on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as part of Eat Out to Help Out, you pay just £12 (note the pub is closed on Mondays). Choose from the likes of gazpacho or duck rillete to start, followed by smoked haddock fish cake and spiced lentil and squash wellington for mains, and lemon posset or a chocolate pot for dessert.

17 Dishoom, various locations
Dishoom is ditching the up to £10 cap to offer a full 50% off at all Dishoom venues on any Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday in August. A breakfast of Akuri or Kejriwal and as many cups of (bottomless) chai as one can drink can be had for a little over £5, while a lunch of House Black Daal, Roomali Roti and a couple of Lamb Chops will set you back less than £10.

18 Flesh & Buns, Covent Garden & Oxford Street
Japanese-style izakaya Flesh & Buns has got so into the enjoying the Eat Out to Help Out vibe that they’ve decided to extend the offer to Thursdays, self financing that extra day. Take advantage of their generosity while you can – from just £10 you can get a small plate, large plate and dessert. Choose from the likes of chicken yakitori, crispy piglet belly with steamed buns, and kinako donuts.

19 Riding House Cafe, Fitzrovia
Riding House Cafe is offering its brilliant £20 tasting menu for just £10 during Eat Out to Help Out. The tasting menu offers six courses, including sourdough rolls with black tahini butter; black quinoa & mango salad; truffled mac & cheese and a 500g 30-day aged Cote de bouef to share. You can also pair the menu with a wine flight. Riding Hosue Cafe is offering the EOTHO discount across the full menu, including breakfast, and it has a new summer terrace.

XR in Marylebone has launched a new set lunch menu that, paired with the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, makes dining out a bargain. The new set menu is available Tuesday to Friday priced £15 for two-courses or £20 for three courses. From Monday to Wednesday, EOTHO means you can get 50% off food up to £10 per person, making the two and three-course lunch exceptional value at just £7.50 and £10 respectively.

Independent wine specialists 28°-50° Wine Bar & Kitchen in Covent Garden is taking the Eat Out to Help Out scheme a step further by offering its brasserie-inspired menu for half price – uncapped – from Monday to Sunday throughout August. That means you can bag yourself a bargain at weekends too!

22 aqua shard, aqua kyoto & Hutong
Aqua Restaurant Group is boosting the Eat Out to Help Put scheme by offering £10 off a bottle of wine when dining on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout August. The £10 is redeemable against all bottles of wine with a listed price over £40 (one offer per table reservation). On top of the £10 off food and soft drinks per person, that adds up to a decent deal at these top restaurants. Plus, the Aqua Restaurant Group is extending the offer into September, too.

23 OPSO, Marylebone
Modern Greek restaurant OPSO will, in addition to the EOTHO discount, offer guests a complimentary cocktail or glass of house wine to anyone who dines Monday to Wednesday in August. With a sun soaked terrace, OPSO is a great shout for an after-work dinner to catch the last few rays.

24 The Cinnamon Club, Westminster
To help London diners make the most of Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s Eat Out to Help Out, Chef Vivek Singh has announced Feast Out To Help Out, slashing the price of his seven-course tasting menu almost in half. The seven-course signature tasting menu, which takes guests on a culinary exploration of the Westminster restaurant’s 20-year history, will be available for just £45 – normally priced £85 – from Monday to Saturday, for both lunch and dinner, throughout August. Available until 31 August. 25 The Great Exhibition, East Dulwich
East Dulwich gastropub, The Great Exhibition, knows that a great meal is even better when washed down with a great beer of glass of wine, so the team has extended the 50% off offer to alcoholic drinks too! The offer is available Monday to Wednesday when you order an alcoholic drink with a meal. The menu includes pub classics like nachos, burgers, steak and fish and chips, as well as a vegan hot dog made using Moving Mountains plant-based meat alternative.
