13 London Bars Delivering Cocktails During Lockdown

Cocktail hour might have moved from the bar to your kitchen, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have the best mixology in your glass – some of London’s most brilliant bars are delivering their top tipples, ready-made, to your door. Design My Night‘s Leighanne Bent rounds up the best…

1 Cocktails By Lollipop, Fulham
The masterminds behind The Grid, The Bletchley and ABQ (London’s Breaking Bad-inspired molecular cocktail experience) know a thing or two when it comes to experimental drinks. So it comes as no surprise that they’re now bottling them up. Their bar-grade cocktails come in boxes of six or 12, and they come with all the garnishes you’d expect in the bar. Sip on anything from a flat white bro to a punchy funhouse, and when you’ve made your way through those, order the valentina; a 1 litre bottle of their signature bellini.
459 Kings Road, Fulham SW10 0LR;

2 Map Maison, Haggerston
MAP Maison is one of East London’s most popular cocktail bars, but you don’t have to wait for lockdown to end to sample their Japanese whisky cocktails. The team are bottling their premium cocktails in 50ml, 200ml and 500mls, delivering them nationwide, and they have a whopping 13 options to choose from; think rum old fashioneds, manhattans, and vesper martinis. If you’re not into classic cocktails, not to worry – they have migrated some of their unique creations to their temporary menu too. Tsuta fairytales, we’re looking at you.
321 Kingsland Road, Haggerston E8 4DL;

3 Heads + Tails, West Hampstead
There are plenty of reasons to visit West Hampstead; cocktails at Heads + Tails probably being one of the biggest. While that’s obviously not allowed right now as we’re all doing our part by staying home, there is some light on the way to the end of the tunnel as the bar team are now delivering some of their best creations nationwide. Classic cocktails include negronis and old fashioneds alongside their Russeliana number that carries an incredible, smoky finish. Order via (locally) or (nationwide).
175 West End Lane, West Hampstead NW6 2LH;

4 The Four Sisters, Islington
If we had to use three words to describe The Four Sisters in Islington? Quaint, charming and irresistible. Like everywhere else, this darling bar is closed to the public due to lockdown but they haven’t taken the foot off the pedal entirely. The talented team (who are regulars at Cocktails in the City) are batching up four of their most popular cocktails in bottle form so you don’t have to go too long without your libation fix. Pick from fig palmetto, cafe au lait, chamomile gimlet and a bold tea old fashioned. Order via Deliveroo (launching soon) or call in to Monte’s Deli next door to the bar to pick them up.
25 Canonbury Lane, Islington N1 2AS;

5 Callooh Callay, Shoreditch
Winning awards left, right and centre, Callooh Callay is loved for many things; well-thought out menu changes, secret doors to hidden bars and general debauchery seven days a week. Although we miss them terribly during this period of lockdown, the team has launched a delivery service where you can buy their cocktails in bottle form. There’s eight to choose from, all coming in at 750ml each, ranging from £39 to £44. If you’re looking for something a little different, you can’t go wrong with their peachy Scotch hi-ball. Order online here
65 Rivington Street, Shoreditch EC2A 3AY;

6 The Sun Tavern, Bethnal Green
The Sun Tavern is regarded as one of the cosiest spots in Bethnal Green thanks to its exposed brick work and dimly lit corners, and if you haven’t been for date night, pen it to your post-freedom bucket list. They stock the largest selection of Irish whiskey in London, they’re the only bar in the capital with poitín cocktails on the menu, and now you can order your favourite cocktails to enjoy from the comfort of your own home. They’ve got plenty of kits to pick and choose from, but we’re all about the quarantini kit. It serves eight people and there’s six classic cocktails to choose from. Order online here
441 Bethnal Green Road E2 0AN;

7 Boxed Up & Delivered By 1929 Agency, Shoreditch
A carousel of flavours to your door is what’s been promised if you take a chance on Boxed Up & Delivered. This collaboration between The Nelson’s Pub in Shoreditch and 1929 Agency is shipping bespoke boxes of cocktails during the UK’s period of lockdown and with one cocktail out of four being a classic, you can count on sipping something a little bit different than you’re used to. At £24.99 for two 200ml bottles and £47.50 for a premium pack of 12, your toughest decision here is deciding if you’re going to go for – the miracle, clear vegan punch, negroni or their lifted spirit.
32 Horatio Street, Shoreditch E2 7SB;

8 Lost & Found, Balham
Lost & Found aren’t ones to back down, not even in a time of lockdown and social distancing. You’ll be glad to know that the Balham bar is keeping South London well watered over the coming weeks with a series of alcohol-inspired isolation packs. With sunny days ahead, you can’t go wrong with their DIY Aperol Spritz option, but they’re also delivering beer, wine, and packets of crisps for those who like to nibble while they sip. Order via
10 Bedford Hill, Balham SW12 9RG;

9 Happiness Forgets, Shoreditch
What does a Tokyo collins, perfect storm and penicillin all have in common? Well, you can get them all delivered to your front door for free (if you live in London). Happiness Forgets needs no introduction, but its new cocktail delivery service does. This incredible bar is operating a same day delivery service if you live within a 3 mile radius of the bar and each order comes with ice and garnishes, setting you up for a full on cocktail experience without the worry of leaving home.
8-9 Hoxton Square, Shoreditch N1 6NU;

10 Cocktail Trading Company, Shoreditch
No drinking experience in London is complete without paying a visit to Cocktail Trading Company. This bonkers bar is responsible for some of the strangest cocktails the city has ever seen and although they might not come with all the bizarre garnishes you’d get in the bar (golf balls, mini croissants and noodles have made an appearance in the past), you can still enjoy them at home thanks to their new delivery service. They’re able to deliver locally to their bar and with an apple-saffron fizz on the menu, we hope they expand to all of London pretty soon. Order online from
68 Bethnal Green Road, Shoreditch E1 6GQ;

11 Mac & Wild, Fitzrovia
The Scottish roots of Mac & Wild brought London’s best burger to life and although they’re now delivering DIY burger kits in Essex, Londoners have something else to look forward to: deliverable cocktails. The team are bottling up nine of their utmost favourite mixes, elevating your imbibing experience at home to a solid 10. Dundee sour, blackwitch espresso martini and wild fizz are all showstoppers, and bottles start at a very modest price tag of £28.
65 Great Titchfield Street, Fitzrovia W1W 7PS;

12 Black Rock, Shoreditch
Known to many as the bar with a whisky-dispensing tree trunk, Black Rock has made a big name for itself in London. If not with the ‘magic tree’, with their whisky-themed hotel that was a first in the capital last year. Another impressive thing to note? Their whisky subscription service. Get hand-selected whisky delivered to your door for just £7.95, or £7 per month if you opt in for a full 12 months. Not a cocktail per se, but with flavour notes of chocolate cake and pear… we had to give it a mention. Subscribe at
9 Christopher Street, Shoreditch EC2A 2BS;

13 Ladies & Gents, Kentish Town, Camden & Kings Cross
Ladies & Gents has partnered with Juiced In Time to offer great deals on your favourite Ladies & Gents cocktails, as well as – perhaps for the morning after – fresh Ayurvedic juices.
