1 Amazónico’s OCTO, Mayfair

Glitzy Mayfair Latin American restaurant Amazónico has created a cocktail lounge for late night drinks. Found at the end of a golden-clad staircase, OCTO’s interiors are inspired by the Amazon River’s cenotes, and its cocktail list comes with a range of innovative tipples made with the likes of passionfruit kombucha and kumquat liquor.  Small plates such as apreas corn cakes, lomi lomi maki and langoustine pibil are served until 11pm, and the bar’s resident djs will play a mix of electro-topical tunes, laid back house, nu disco and deep house until late.

2 Lusin, Hay Hill

The luxurious Armenian restaurant serves up flavour-laden dishes curated by two-star Michelin chef Marcel Ravin, the man behind the much-lauded Blue Bay restaurant in Monaco. Dishes include grilled kebab served with cherry sauce and pine nuts - a must - chicken skewers and ice-cream enshrouded in fairy floss.

3 The Audley Public House, Mount Street

A 19th century pub that has been faithfully restored by Artfarm, the hospitality arm of Hauser & Wirth galleries. With rich wood panelling and brown leather bench seating for days, the interiors are as refined and as classical as you can get, apart from the vibrant whole-ceiling mural by Phyllida Barlow. The kitchen prepares traditional bar snacks and classic pub favourites including a roast on Sunday.

4 Saltie Girl, North Audley Street

Tinned fish may not sound decadent, but at Saltie Girl, it sure is. First launched in Boston (which has the biggest supply of tinned fish stocked in a restaurant globally) the fish and seafood restaurant launched its London venue in November 2022, serving decadent dishes like lobster waffle, a selection of seafood towers, and smoked fish bagels. It also does shucked oysters and freshly caught British fish alongside cocktails and new and old world wine.

5 Mount St Restaurant & Rooms, Mount Street

Perched above The Audley Public House, Mount St Restauran & Rooms is a cheerful and chic dining room with a gallery of art on the walls - see if you can spot a Warhol, Picasso or a Matisse while tuck into the likes of Dover sole; smokeed eel and potato salad with cucumber and caviar and beef tartare on toast.

7 Bombay Bustle, Maddox Street

Another excellent resturant Mumabi inspired affair, Bombay Bustle pays homage to the modern mega-city and its melting pot roots. Alongside the a la carte menu, a weekend brunch menu will put pep in your step, or there's a three or four course set menu on weekdays.

8 Mr Fogg's Apothecary, Brook Street

The newest edition to Mr Fogg's collection of venues, the Apothecary showcases the vast array of potions and elixirs that Jules Verne’s most well-loved fictional character, Phileas Fogg collected whilst on his epic 80 day voyage around the world. Cocktails and libations are made from plants, powders, saps and antivenoms from all ends of the Earth, and a lot of thought has gone into the interiors, which are designed to make you loose yourself in Phileas’ eccentric world.

9 Amethyst, Sackville Street

An intimate venue with the colour of amethyst (the birth stone of Chef Patron Carlo Scotto) pulling together the design concept, this restaurant is one for a special occasion. Amethyst's chef's table dining experience comes with a 12-course menu (vegetarian option available) that pulls in French, Arabic, Nordic and Japanese twists. It comes with a basement wine bar, Vinum, which fits just 16 people and offers rare and vintage finds, as well as European and global flights.

10 Maddox Tavern, Maddox Street

Once the Cooling Lawrence & Sons gentlemen's outfitters (which Winston Churchill was a regular customer of) Maddox Tavern is an all-day British brasserie, housed in an impressive 19th century Grade II listed building. Head here for a handsome business breakfast, a quick drink and a snack, a leisurely full meal, a set lunch menu, or a Sunday roast.

11 Apricity, Duke Street

Chantelle Nicholson, the NZ chef behind the Hackney pop up All’s Well, has opened up a restaurant championing veg-forward and greener eating. The menu is hyper-seasonal and features locally foraged ingredients. Dishes include yellow oyster and black pearl mushrooms, ‘XO’ sauce, flanders wheat and wild garlic emulsion; Shio koji cured pollock, Shetland mussels, sambal butter and purple sprouting broccoli; and Miso cured spring cabbage, smoked hemp cream and black garlic ketchup.

12 MiMi Mei Fair, Curzon Street

Occupying two Georgian townhouses in Mayfair, the three-floor restaurant has been imagined as the secret London resident of Empress MiMi. It takes diners back to 1920s Shanghai – think old fashioned oriental glamour coupled with modern day eclecticism. With dishes by Chinese-Singaporean Executive Chef Peter Ho (ex Hakkasan), the high-end Chinese menu comprises of hero dishes such as apple wood roasted Peking duck and lobster cooked three-ways.

13 Langan’s Brasserie, Stratton Street

Once a celebrity hang-out and joint venture between Micheal Caine and restauranteur Peter Langan, Langan’s closed down in 2020, a casualty of the pandemic with its golden age well and truly over. However, the venue reopened its doors in 2021 following an extensive refurbishment that has restored the restaurant and bar to its 70s opulence. The menu is also drenched in 70s glamour - prawn cocktails, spinach souffle and steak Diane for example.

14 Chesterfield Arms, Hertford Street

Formerly the Shepherd’s Tavern and a pub since 1737, The Chesterfield Arms reopened with a new name and a new look following an extensive refurbishment that sees the tavern restored with a classic, elegant feel and original charm.
