3 New Bottomless Sunday Roasts

Bottomless brunch is a marvellous thing, but there are only so many smashed avos on sourdough a gal can eat, so it’s time to switch things up with London’s growing collection of bottomless Sunday roasts…

Lanes of London, Mayfair
Lanes of London, an all-day casual dining destination on Park Lane, has launched a two-course Sunday roast with bottomless beer. Available every Sunday from midday until 5pm, the classic British roast (choose from the likes of sirloin of beef or baby poussin) comes complete with all the trimmings, including roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and lashings of gravy. Lanes of London has partnered with Brooklyn Lager to offer optional bottomless lager, or you can opt for Cava, should free-flowing lager not appeal. Dessert choices include chocolate fondant with salted caramel ice cream, or an Eton Mess garnished with Pineapple, Matcha Green tea cream and White Chocolate shards. The new Sunday roast comes as Craig Burrows take the reins as Head Chef, along with design refresh offering a more contemporary interior. Priced £18pp with an additional £15 for bottomless lager or Cava.

Bala Baya, Southwark
Award-winning restaurant Bala Baya in Southwark is mixing up the weekends with the launch a Bottomless Sunday Feast Menu, plus the option of bottomless prosecco. The feast combines the best of a Sunday roast and irresistible brunch dishes, all with Chef Eran Tibi’s exotic Bala Baya, Israeli-style twist. Start with unlimited small plates like creamy hummus and spiced double-roasted potatoes, followed by a main course like the Shank Deluxe (lamb shank on garlic artichoke puree with juicy grilled tomatoes and coffee infused tomato jam), vegan Pockets Of Semolina (semolina dumplings full of herby mushrooms and pine nuts in a paprika broth), or Bala Baya’s signature Fish & Fennel (a whole de-boned sea bass with burnt sage and lemon). If brunch is more your thing, try traditional brunch items like steak and eggs, Israeli Shakshuka & Meatballs or Blackberry Pitta French Toast with banana tempura. Available on Sundays from 10.30am-5pm. Unlimited small plates £8pp when ordered with a main course (main courses are individually priced). Bottomless prosecco is £19 for 2 hours (must be ordered by the whole table).

Percy & Founders, Fitzrovia
Percy & Founders in Fitzrovia serves Sunday roasts from midday, as well as a selection of starters like crispy squid, roasted artichoke soup and citrus cured sea trout. There are also a number of ‘sharpeners’ on offer, including the classic Blood Mary and a Rhubarb & Raspberry Bellini. There are four roast options to choose from: a rolled saddleback pork belly, dry-aged Lancashire beef sirloin, slow-roasted Lavinton lamb and Castlemead free-range chicken, all served with a Yorkshire pudding, glazed market vegetables and duck fat roast potatoes. Roast dishes are priced £18.50-£22.50 and you can upgrade your roast with bottomless red or white wine for £16pp.
