A brunch for a special occasion, Oblix West at The Shard's sky high brunch of seasonal lunchy dishes where quality ingredients sing. Coffee shop WatchHouse is unfussy but chic, and it's flagship venue is found on Shad Thames' cobbled road at the foot of Tower Bridge. The coffee shop plates up light breakfasts during the week, and heftier meals at the weekend, for you to take your time with. Try the vegan loaded banana bread with toffee sauce and pecans, or the brunch special with smoked haddock, poached Cacklebean farm eggs, torched mornay and dill sauce on a toasted English muffin. A charming little bar and kitchen that is all small plates and cocktails and pot plants and wood, Two Hundred Rye Lane also has a suntrap courtyard out the back. The menu's heroes are the cocktails which are zhuzhed up classics, but compact food menu is also pretty great. Have your boushie bloody Mary with huevos notos - fried potato and tofu with smashed avocado and fried tomatoes, or a breakfast butty or mushrooms loaded with sides.
