One for Frozen fans (which is everyone, right?), 10 ice-sculptures depicting Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf will be installed in Covent Garden’s piazza this Saturday. And here’s your chance to try your hand at carving-ice too.

The ice sculptures will be revealed on Saturday, November 13 from 10am at Covent Garden’s North Piazza.

There’s also ice-carving to try out in the afternoon, when the carving team (The Ice Co) live-carve a sculpture of Sven and a giant ice wall with ‘Frozen’ emblazoned across.

The event coincides with Covent Garden’s Frozen Forest (Nov 9-Jan 3), which is a winter wonderland with a Frozen theme – perfect for young Elsa idolisers.

Frozen Forest visitors can immerse themselves in a forest filled with snow covered Christmas trees, ice and Frozen decorations, as well as sing along to the instrumental rendition of Let It Go playing.

Visitors can also feel a bit of festive magic when one of the daily flurries of snow (occurring every hour from midday to 7pm) dusts the forest with snowflakes.

The picture-perfect Infinity Chamber also receives an icy makeover, with an additional 3D neon installation at both the Long Acre and Floral Street entrances.

The Frozen ice sculptures and the Frozen Forest are part of Covent Garden’s wider festive programme, which includes an immersive LEGO installation (Dec 1- Jan 3), Christmas Sandwich Festival (Nov 15-24) and The Winter Warmer Mulled Wine & More Festival (Dec 10-24) as well as shopping events.

The ice statues will be installed from 10am to 6pm.

The live carve takes place from 1pm-4pm. Members of the public can try out ice-carving at this time too.

The Frozen Forest is on at Covent Garden’s North Piazza until January 3.

Frozen the Musical is now playing at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
