4 Ride a Vintage Streamer Cruiser, Bourne End

Fancy an easy day trip out of London? All aboard the vintage 1883 cruisers, the Alaska. Running on the hour, trips in the carbon neutral boat run for 50 minutes. 5 Seven Dials Market's Reggae Roast Carnival Weekender

Everyone is excited for Notting Hill Carnival's return, and there are endless tributes to the festival this bank holiday. Seven Dial's Market's Reggae Roast is one such event. Expect a hefty amount of flavour-laden dishes, special festive cocktails, steel pan band and DJs by Reggae Roast. During the day, for the kids, there's a face painting glitter station (Sun, Mon 1pm-3pm) as well as a make-your-own masquerade kit for children to get creative with. Come Monday, the animation Rio will be screening on loop all day from 11am, so plonk your child down and grab a drink and some food.

6 Roundabout the House at Kindred, Hammersmith

9 Superbloom, Tower of London

One to catch before this heat spoils its beauty and before it dies down for the winter, Superbloom is a floral installation made up of more than 230 million flower seeds sown into Tower of London's moat. Not only is it pretty, it's alive with bugs and insects and pollinators all doing their thing. There's a free viewing platform, or alternatively, you can stroll through the installation, and even pop into the Tower of London after.

10 LEGO Mission to Mars, Fitzrovia

13 Jurassic World: The Exhibition, Royal Docks

For dinosaur lovers and fans of the blockbuster film series, this is your chance to rub shoulders with your most loved and feared prehistoric reptile. Jurassic World: The Exhibition opens August 25 at ExCel London, on the Elizabeth line.
