How this new British brand has changed the outdoor furniture scene with a clever but stylish design concept
Thanks to the typical British weather, outdoor furniture often involves flimsy (but waterproof) tables and chairs that are able to stand both rain and shine. So when the founders behind Coco Wolf, a British outdoor furniture brand, realised there was an element of luxury missing from their patio, they had to be on to something.
Coco Wolf’s mission was to create outdoor furniture that looks as good as its indoor counterparts. In 2014, the first range of sofas, chairs, stools, loungers and benches was launched with comfort and craftsmanship at the heart of each design.
The furniture is hand-made in London using materials sourced from the marine industry to ensure the products can remain outdoors in all seasons. It looks stylish, but the beauty lies in the engineering. Exposed wooden frames are UV protected, steel springs are rust-proof and every interior frame is made with water and boil-proof wood. The outer layers are also encased in a waterproof polyester lining and are sprayed with textile sealant to prevent stains or soaking.
